Visconti has released two new pens, both of which utilize a jade colored demonstrator acriloid material, the Homo Sapiens and Northern Lights.  These two new Visconti pens are being released just in time for the holidays and will start shipping at the end of November, first part of December.

Visconti Pen Company has been on the cutting edge of Italian designed fine writing instruments for many years.  The Homo Sapien collection, with its bronze-age, steel-age and dark-age colors utilizing lava from Mount Etna, which is located on the Island of Sicily near Catania in Italy has been a absolute sensation.   Visconti continued to expand its Homo Sapien line, which has a hook-safe locking mechanism rather than a screw down cap with its distinct band when it introduced its London Fog, Chiantishire and newest Homo Sapeins Elegance collections.

Homo Sapiens Jade Fountain Pen

The Visconti Homo Sapien Jade fountain pen is an oversized, limited edition pen that is restricted to only 188 pens world-wide.  Each pen comes in a dedicated presentation box with a crystal bottle of Visconti fountain pen ink.  The 23kt one tone Visconti fountain pen nib is available in extra-fine, fine, medium, broad and stub sizes.  Each Homo Sapien Jade pen comes with Visconti’s double reservoir filling system, which can be seen through the green jade color demonstrator material.  The palladium plated trim on the Homo Sapien pen, beautifully offsets the green jade color of the barrel and cap.

The Visconti pens come with the “My Pen System” allows the writer to customize the cap of their fountain pen by replacing the Visconti logo with with a natural stone or initials, etc.  The Homo Sapien Jade pen comes with a real jade stone on top of the cap in the “My Pen System.”

Visconti Northern Light Fountain Pen

Another other new 2017 release is the Visconti Northern Light fountain pen.  The Northern light pen is made out of the same green demonstrator collection, but is not built upon the Homo Sapiens chassis.  The Northern Light pen comes with a screw down locking mechanism cap rather than the hook safe lock like the Homo Sapiens.

Other features, which are similar to the Homo Sapiens Jade pen, are the 23kt. single tone nib and the palladium plated trim. Like the Visconti Homo Sapiens Jade, the Northern Light fountain pen is also restricted to only 188 pens world wide. The pen also comes in extra fine, fine, medium, broad or stub. Different from the Homo Sapiens Jade, the Northern Lights cap has some distinctions with a triple palladium band near the base of the cap and a larger silver trip base to the barrel and grip section of the pen. The Visconti Northern Light pen also comes with a dedicated gift packaging with a crystal bottle of Visconti fountain pen ink.
