About the Visconti Homo Sapiens Maxi Elegance
The Visconti Homo Sapiens Elegance fountain pen is made of a high gloss black acrylic resin with palladium plated trims. The pen has the same Homo Sapiens design but has a cartridge converter fill system.
The cap has the easy removal Visconi hood safe lock and the pen has been fitted with a 23kt palladium nib.

This pen has the same design as other Visconti Homo Sapiens with a black glossy resin on both the cap and barrel of the pen and silver trim or accents. On the top of the cap is a medallion with the Visconti, made in Italy, and the Visconti "V". The pen has the arch shape Visconti clip with the logo on the side. On the center the cap, there is two silver colored bands and a large band at the bottom of the cap with Homo Sapiens and the Visconti logo "V". At the bottom of the barrel of the pen, just a simple cap at the end with a small silver band.
The cap on the pen has the Visconti Hood Safe Lock. To remove you twist and it it is spring-loaded so it pops off. You can also see the little grooves or channels for the cap as it screws on and off of the pen. The cap can post on the end of the barrel of the pen if you would like to. Here you can see the section on the pen. It is a little bit of a smaller section, but the Hood Safe Lock threads don't seem to be a be in the way when holding.
The pen comes with a 23 karat palladium Dream Touch nib. You can see the feed on the backside with the small Visconti "V" logo. To change the ink on this Homo Sapiens, it comes with a cartridge converter system with a Visconti converter for use with bottled inks. You can also use a cartridge on the pen as well. Great design.
