About the Visconti Traveling
The Visconti Traveling Inkwell or ink pot will carry 5.5ml of fountain pen ink. Great for traveling or on the go writers.
To fill the Visconti inkwell simply pull the friction fit cap off and fill with your desired ink using the supplied eye dropper or syringe to the marked line. Replace the cap and you are ready to go.
To fill your fountain pen, once again remove the cap, insert your pen nib. Larger pens will securely seat or seal so you can then turn the Visconti Traveling Inkwell upside down and run the fill mechanism. Smaller pens you can fill the same as from an ink bottle. Once your pen is full, turn the inkwell upright and remove your pen and clean. Wipe off the inkwell as well with the supplied ink wick.

Arrived quickly and as described. I haven’t tried it out yet but I’m sure it will be fine. I have nothing but praise for Pen Chalet and they also have excellent Social Media interaction.

I own the Pineider traveling inkwell too. I got this one because it is designed for my Visconti pens. It does make a difference. It is also better constructed than the Pineider. As a bonus it comes with a dropper to fill it cleanly and has a bit of absorbent material hidden in a compartment to clean the nib with. I purchased my second Visconti in Italy from the Visconti flagship store in Florence. For me, that pen deserves this inkwell. If you have spent the money on a Visconti, then go the extra little bit and treat yourself with this.

This was one of the first products of its kind on the market. It is well made, with thick plastic materials. Now for the bad parts:
1) It's expensive. The competing Pineider product costs far less. The plastic on the Pineider is thinner, but it hasn't broken on me yet.
2) Limited ink capacity - perhaps 3 ml. The Pineider holds 10 ml.
3) Limited throat capacity - the largest pen section that will fit in the Visconti is my Pelikan M1000. A Montblanc 149 won't fit. Not a problem for the Pineider.
4) Too tall and unstable. This will tip over very easily. Less of a problem with eh Pineider.
I own both the Visconti and Pineider. However, if I was starting from scratch, you already know what I would buy.

I used to travel by airplane for at least 4hrs so I had to bring empty pens plus ink samples but once I got the Visconti traveling inkwell, I could use my pen right during the flight! Of course the pandemic paused my flights but I found out it stills very useful for my long hours out home so I never run out of ink! Great price, fast,secure,well packed delivery from Pen Chalet!

Sometimes we encounter a product so simply brilliant of a solution to an ageless problem we have two simultaneous reactions, 1) DUH, why didn't anyone think of this before and, 2) Hallelujah, there is someone looking out for our inky desires! The Visconti Traveling Inkwell is the fountain pen's equivalent brilliant solution to Graf Von Faber Castell's Perfect Pencil, the most obvious and simple solution to a problem we were all so frustrated with that none of us even considered that there could be a solution to our frustrations until one day someone came up with it and shamed and saved us all.

Perfect compliment to a Homo Sapiens. Haven’t tried it with other pens yet but it makes filling a Visconti HS a dream. Pen Chalet we’re the cheapest supplier too.

Although pricey, it works perfectly and on every fountain pen I own, it perfectly safe to travel with and not worry about it leaking ink in your briefcase or luggage. I have bought other brands and have been covered in ink. Nothing works as well as this and I highly recommend it.
