One of my all time favorite pens. Smooth writer, I love the lanyard, which I didn't think I would, but I run a lot of events and boom! my pen was just there when I needed it. Everyone always comments on what a great looking pen it is. Unusual looking and fun to write with.

A very sleek and elegantly modern design with an unusually 9-sided barrel and cap that tapers down from the finials to about one third of the total length of the pen. The red, anodised aluminium barrel and cap have chrome trims, including what appears to be a spring-loaded clip. Definitely trendy and fashionable, but understated, striking a nice balance between ergonomics and utility without being flashy or gaudy.
The barrel is of medium weight. The unposted pen is a bit short for me so I write with it posted. The cap screws into a threaded socket recessed into the top of the barrel. The grip is quite thin, as grips go, if you hold the pen close to the nib. I hold the pen above the stainless steel grip and find it well-balanced and comfortable enough for long writing periods.
The small nib writes surprisingly smoothly with very little feedback on smooth (Rhodia) paper and lays down a thin, wet line of ink. The pen comes with and uses an international cartridge and can be used with a small converter which you will have to purchase separately.
In summary, a sturdy and brilliant combination of unusual design and performance that is exceptionally well made and invites questions!

Really cute pen. Immediately reminds everyone of the iconic coffee maker. (The first one I ordered arrived with a cosmetic blemish. Pen Chalet replaced it quickly, with no fuss and at no cost to me.)
