The Conklin Mark Twain Crescent Filler pens are available for purchase today at Pen Chalet and Conklin will soon be adding two new exciting colors.  Like the other demonstrator Crescent Filler pens these new Mark Twain pens will also be limited edition pens, with only 1898 pens produced worldwide.  Each pen is individually numbered and includes Mark Twain’s signature on the cap band.

These new limited edition demonstrator pens utilize new manufacturing techniques to have the barrel and cap material absolutely transparent, enabling the user to view the Crescent filling mechanism during refill.  These demonstrator Crescent Filler pens come in transparent red, blue and clear acrylic, representing the red, white and blue of its American heritage and are available in either Fine, Medium or Stub sized two toned Conklin nibs.

The Crescent design originates and is duplicated based upon original patents to match the technologically advanced filling system the Conklin Pen Company created during the Golden Age of the Fountain Pen in the early 1900’s.   Historically, Mark Twain’s name is associated with this collection, as he became the official spokesperson for the Conklin Pen Company in 1903, during this golden age of the fountain pen, due to his love of the crescent design.

Mark’s Twain’s famous quote on October 1, 1903, in New York, which is used on Conklin marketing materials for this new collection is great, and reads:
