Mark Twain Limited Edition
I can't say enough about this pen. Its a heavy metal pen with beautiful coloration and a nib that writes like a dream. Its well worth the price and has a big wet nib that really preforms like a high end pen.

Duraflex Elements
I purchased the Earth and Water versions of the Elements pens and like both equally. The resin is deep and translucent. These pens are Duragraphs with some welcome differences, like the section being the same resin as the pen, unlike he Duragraphs use of black sections and barrel ends. Using the same resin makes for a cleaner, more finished looking pen.
The Water I ordered came with a black broad nib instead of the rose gold nib pictured, which looked out of place as the rose gold matches the trim. I ordered a new versions of flexible nib for it in rose gold, so it matches now. The Earth pen was fine with the black nib matching the trim.
The biggest complaint I have is posting the cap on the barrel, which it doesn’t do well. The ring on the end of the barrel makes the cap post very shallow, making the pen back heavy. It also posts loosely and the cap wobbles. I prefer to post my pens, but not Duragraph or Duraflex pens. If they would ditch the ring on the end of the barrel or make it flush, the problem would be minimized. Just a thought if Conklin is listening.

Super pen. The Cracked Ice is very distinctive and stands out. I prefer a large and heavier pen (unposted) which this is both. As with all Conklin or Monteverde nibs, (this one is medium) they need some fine tuning with micro-mesh and mylar. It is now almost buttery smooth with the provided blue cardridge. I'll be switching it to Noodler's Blue in the converter. Pen Chalet offers great pricing and super fast shipping!

Courage
First, the good things: the pen is large and has good weight to it. It is nicely finished.

My one complaint is that the pen is thicker than I usually like. That's just preference. For those of you who prefer thicker pens, this one is just that. I suppose that's the "danger" of buying pens based only on an internet image. However, for a commemorative pen, I find the thickness appropriate.

Overall, I like this pen a lot. I got it partly to remember the COVID-19 pandemic in future years. I am a health care worker (laboratory). I chose the red version because I work in transfusion services, and the slightly iridescent, faintly marbled red resin does remind me of blood. It appears to swirl as I move the pen.

Hi, my second Conklin, but I really impressed with this model. I like it so much, more than my Conklin Duragraph, want to buy another. Happy with my pen.

Duragraph
The Duragraph is a great pen at this price point. The resin is deep and rich looking, the section is comfortable to write with, and the nibs have improved over the years. I have several Duragraph pens, and the early ones were hit and miss on performance, with hard starts and skipping. But these issues seem to have been addressed as none of the recent pens have had these problems. Kudos to Conklin for recognizing the issue and addressing it.
The one issue I have is posting the pen, which is my preference. This pen does post, but the cap rests so high on the barrel that it is unwieldy and back heavy. It bottoms out on the chrome trim ring on the blind cap on the end of the pen. If it just posted a bit further down the barrel it would be ideal! But that is nit-picking as that is the design of the pen. Not a great posting design in my humble opinion, but that's just personal preference speaking.

This was a pen that I didn't really expect a whole lot from and, moreover,it was an impulse buy-I'm guilty! Well, my expectations were way off because this pen is stunning! The amber resin may as well be precious, the depth and richness of the color, coupled with the semi-transparency is something I would expect to see in pens costing 10 times what this pen sells for. After a little tuning the nib has been exquisite.

Lovely pen, writes beautifully with no problems. Feels good in the hand. I've come to realize I do not like metal grips but a strip of complimentary washi tape has solved that problem for me. No regrets on the purchase.

I love this pen. The All-American pattern is mesmerizing. I like how it looks like confetti. It’s a big pen but it feels perfect in my hand. It doesn’t tire me out in longer writing sessions.

I got the orange and turquoise models with the Omniflex nib on both of them. The glossy pearlized finish of the pen bodies is absolutely stunning. The pen is a good size and pretty hefty in weight... feels like a substantial pen for only $24 (sale and coupon applied)! I'm usually a cap-poster, but this pen gets too much junk in its trunk when posted. So the cap will stay on the desk. The snap cap is so convenient, but it tends to pull some of the ink off the feed if it is primed to adequately supply the Omniflex nib.

I am probably one of the few who actually enjoy the Omniflex nib. I know its strength and weaknesses and have figured out that you need to prime the converter and also flip and press on the nib once in a while to get the ink flowing again. Modern flex is finicky like that. I've pretty much tried everything out there and find the Omniflex one of the better choices.

I don't love the shiny metal grip section, but I knew it was like that going in. The converter is a little smaller in ink volume than I'd prefer, especially when using an ink hog like the Omniflex nib. Also it takes like a dozen turns to unscrew the body which feels excessive. None of these issues are dealbreakers for me and I think I will enjoy both of these pens in my rotation.

I like it. It's a Conklin, long and heavy. I like the way Conklins feel in my hand, plus a heavy pen is best for walloping someone on the head when the occasion demands it.

All American Golden Walnut
Very Nice Walnut Fountain Pen. Just have to get use to the weight of the nib end of the pen. With the threads and the grip being made of metal instead of resin makes the pen heavier then the usual conklin fountain pen.

So as not to gush I'll keep it simple. The color and material is very nice, rich, sparkly and slightly translucent. There have been complaints about the nib in other reviews but I found it very smooth non-flex and very usable and wet when flexed. Nib is a larger fine--->1.1 flexed. Clip has plenty of spring but is stiff. The size is comparable to a TWSBI 580 capped (girth). Medium hands may like it non posted. Posted the pen is a good size for medium to large hands small hands could find it a little wand like. Something to note, because this is a flex nib the feed and nib are a little longer so the pen has extra length in front of where your fingers hold it. If you hold it up high on the pen where you are "supposed" to (the black area for my pen) there is a good ~1in forward of your fingers. I found no issue with it but it did make a difference when writing (I liked it).

Replacement
I bought a standard Conklin fine point nib to replace a Conklin "flex" nib on a pen that I bought from a different online store. Since I was buying Monteverde ink that the other store didn't have, I went ahead and got the new Conklin nib. The new nib is lovely to write with - the tines were aligned out of the box, there is a wet line that I love, and it's a nib that WORKS. The flex nib was awful, awful, awful.

This nib is a pleasant surprise. My experience with Conklin nibs has been spotty, but they appear to have made huge strides in their quality and consistency. The newer nibs do not appear to have the flow issues I experienced with older pens/nibs. Kudos to Conklin on the improvements.

Duragraph
Wow. I really like my Conklin (Durograph) pen. I ordered the ice frosty blue pen. Then I filled it with the oxford blue ink from Diamine. I am always so excited when I get to write with it. I am always looking for something to write. I am still getting used to a screw type pen. My others seem to just lift off. I think I will look for a simmer pen in the future. I have not ventured outside of the entry level pens.
