About the Conklin Israel 75 Diamond Jubilee LE Set Ballpoint and
The Conklin Israel 75 Diamond Jubilee Limited Edition Boxed Set includes a ballpoint pen and a fountain pen. The special release celebrates Israel's 75th anniversary!
The Conklin Israel 75 pen revitalizes a 1948 Collection design (one of Conklin's vintage classics). The Conklin Israel 75 Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Limited Edition 1948 pens are machined to perfection and hand-polished with a pen body of one-of-a-kind high-grade blue and white resin combined with Olive wood accents and striking chrome trim (pen clip and rings), and overlay. The Israel 75 is a visual representation of the country. The beautiful satin chrome overlay on the fountain pen's cap features a carved design with custom-made resin showing through the cut-outs highlighting symbols of Israel's cultural values: Israel (English) and Israel (in Hebrew), a dove and olive branch (symbolizing a token of peace), a seven-branched Menorah (symbolizing the seven days of Creation), Shalom (in Hebrew, meaning Peace or one of harmony and contentment), and the Torah (symbolizing the core of Jewish religious and spiritual tradition). The pen's finial features an intricately carved coin with the Star of David by Shema Yisrael (the centerpiece of the daily morning and evening prayer services).
The pen's chrome clip is etched with a grapevine design, symbolizing the Tree of Life. The center band incorporates the sacred Western Wailing Wall (Kotel in Hebrew - long believed to be the sole remains of the Second Temple) that stood in Jerusalem for over 2000 years and is a numerical reference to the 75th anniversary. Each fountain pen has a premium #6 14kt gold OR stainless steel JoWo nib personalized with the Conklin name, the historic “Toledo, USA” mark, and a crescent-shaped breathing hole. The nib is available in varying sizes.
The ballpoint pen is compatible with Parker-style refills.
Each Conklin Israel 75 Diamond Jubilee Limited Edition pens are a unique piece of art. The pen collection is a numbered Limited Edition of 1948 pieces.
The Conklin Israel 75 Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Limited Edition 1948 fountain pen celebrates the 75th anniversary of the day Israel declared their independence and regained its natural birthright as a sovereign Jewish state. Doing so brought those living within Israel's borders liberation from persecution, freedom to express their culture openly, and the freedom to practice their religion without fear.
Israel is a sacred land that holds powerful connections to religion and spirituality for many - it's not just a country, it's a symbol of important cultural values of both national and universal significance. Many assisted in establishing Israel, but none so much as Theodore Herzl, a journalist and writer who sought to form a Jewish state in the Land of Israel by spreading ideas and awareness using pamphlets and, later in his quest, a book. Herzl's efforts gained international attention and popularized political Zionism. Herzl's words single-handedly unified the Jews and brought injustices to light. Herzl didn't live to see the establishment of Israel, but he is nevertheless considered to be a father of the State of Israel.
“Let me repeat once more my opening words: The Jews wish to have a State, and they shall have one. We shall live at last as free men on our own soil and die peacefully in our own home. The world will be freed by our liberty, enriched by our wealth, magnified by our greatness.” Theodore Herzl (1896), A Jewish State.

Conklin Israel 75 Diamond Jubilee LE Set Ballpoint and Reviews
A beautiful pen with beautiful symbolism to match being the commemoration of Israel's 75th Anniversary. The pen barrel is gorgeously decorated in blue with the cap in silver covered with important symbols of Jewish heritage. While it may not rank up there with quality pens such as Montblanc and Visconti and the like, this pen's cultural significance more than makes up for it.
