What Sort of Packaging is Used for Popular Dominant Industry Inks?

Dominant Industry inks come in a tear drop (aka ink drop) shaped 25ml glass bottle.
Dominant Industry inks come in a teardrop (aka ink drop) shaped 25ml glass bottle, a drawstring canvas dustbag, and a classic cardboard box.

“The inks come in a cardboard box with a little bag around the bottle and a small ink-eyedropper. The 25ml bottle is glass and tapers down and flares out at the base.” – Melyssa N.

“The packaging of the inks was top notch with dust bags and a mini pipette.” -Amy M. {Amy is another guest reviewer who received a couple popular Dominant Industry inks for review}.

Ink Testing Dominant Industry Downpour & Sunset Inks with Melyssa N.

Dominant Industry is a new brand to me and I was so excited when @penchalet asked if I’d review a few colors. I received a couple popular Dominant Industry inks, Downpour from their standard collection and Sunset from their pearl collection.” -Melyssa N.

Dominant Industry Sunset ink I loved the minute I swatched it. It is from their pearl collection and is a light purple with gold shimmer. I was not disappointed at all by this ink because it looks just as beautiful in person as it does online. If you want to see this ink in all its glory definitely use a broad or larger nib.” – Melyssa N.

“The second color is Dominant Industry Downpour ink from their standard collection. The beautiful gray-purple almost reminded me of Robert Oster Black Violet on first glance. And after swatching both of them, they do look very similar.

In fact, Downpour ink was threatening to take my number one spot as an everyday ink – so I was inspired to do a quick battle of the purples against Robert Oster black Violet. However when you actually write – Downpour ink is definitely a gray and not black. But if you have ever wanted to try out something in the same shade range as RO Black Violet but lighter and easier on the eyes then definitely check out Downpour from Dominant Industry’s Standard Series.” – Melyssa N.

“I had a lot of fun with these! The inks swatched with Sunset are Diamine Lilac Satin and Sailor Shikiori Fugi Sugata. The ink swatches alongside Dominant Industry Downpour ink are Robert Oster Black Violet and Ferris Wheel Press Adventurine (a now discontinued Ferris Wheel Press ink originally released in their FerriTales Down the Rabbit Hole ink series 20ml bottles). (Note: Downpour and Black Violet look black in all the photos for some reason, but they’re not black in reality). The photos with two swatches for both Dominant Industry inks are on different paper. The top swatch is TRP (Tomoe River Paper) from a Hobonichi and the bottom is 100gsm cream colored paper.” -Melyssa N.

Closer Look: Dominant Industry Pearl Autumn Forest Ink

Guest Reviewer Amy M. (aka @ayachan91.journal) put together a Dominant Industry Pearl Autumn Forest ink review.

“I think most fountain pen users know that fountain pen inks are half the fun! Dominant Industry Autumn Forest ink is a dark green with some red-pink pearl. This ink made for. a great writing experience. It’s a well-behaved ink (at least in the pens I tried). Like other Dominant Industry inks I’ve tried, the Autumn Forest ink showed a vibrant color (in both EF and F nibs). A lovely ink from Dominant Industry’s Pearl ink series, Autumn Forest’s reddish pink tone provides a beautiful contrast to the dark green, and it reminds me of the leaves changing in the fall.” -Amy M.

Closer Look: Dominant Industry Periwinkle Blue Ink

Guest Reviewer Amy M. (aka ayachan91.journal) also put together a Dominant Industry Standard Periwinkle Blue ink review.

Dominant Industry Standard inks

“Periwinkle Blue is a standard blue ink with some lovely shading. It was great to write with, and it behaved well in the pens I used. The color was quite vibrant in both my EF and F nibs. Of the two Dominant Industry inks I tried, Dominant Industry Pearl Autumn Forest and Dominant Industry Standard Periwinkle Blue ink, I’d say Autumn Forest was my favorite. I just love how the red-pink matches with the dark green on the page. 😍 It definitely gives off fall vibes and makes me miss the changing colors of leaves. I look forward to trying more Dominant Industry inks in the future.” -Amy M.
