I have to admit that I bought this pen first, because it is part of the US Air Force Military history. As a USAF Veteran myself, I enjoy collecting unusual items like this pen. It also writes very well, no skipping, very smooth.

Used as a Christmas gift for someone. The MET roller ball pens are kind of expensive, but their designs are very nice. I liked the Van Gogh Wheat Fields and Cypresses as my favorite design. Not inexpensive, but sometimes real nice looking pens cost a bit more... eh... . Well worth it I think.

Love Retro 51 roller pens and this offering is so fun and brings back fond memories of flying Pan Am. In its prime, Pan Am was THE airline, and Retro 51 holds that pride of place in the rollerball world. Love the graphics and the Retro box that the pen comes in.

A fun rollerball to say the least. I love the weight of this baby. It's a bit larger than the typical Retro 51 Rollerball. Love how the design just seems to belong to the pen. The graphic designers and fabricators did a great job. A perfect canvas, IMO. It was quite a hit with the avaition crowd I hang with. It writes as good as it looks, too. Pen Chalet did their usual wonderful job in packing and swift shipping. Just in time for the upcoming eclipse! It was the pen I was hoping to use to write down observations with and TADA!! Made in Taiwan. The pen looks like was made in a hospital, clean, precisely machined and assembled. Much better than Japanese counterparts. Excellent in every respect.

It's just a fabulous pen, and I have to watch to make sure it doesn't fly off when I take it to work. Not that my co-workers would take it, but it did create some serious pen envy, LOL! I love the brilliant red, yellow and orange color scheme and know this will be one of my favorite pens. Besides the fabulous flames that cover the pen, there is a nice little yellow phoenix set on the top of the red finial. The flames are delineated by thin black lines which are slightly raised from the flames. This gives a bit of added texture to the pen which I personally enjoy. Pen Chalet scored a major hit with this exclusive. Don't wait to pick it up, it may fly off sooner than you think.

A whimsical pencil with solid brass construction. Pencil lead movement is smooth, and the clutch does not let the lead go loose, which has happened to me with some other mechanical pencils. Good weight, but not too heavy for extended use.
