As someone who loves both fountain pens and aircraft, I'm not sure why I waited so long to get this pen or the P-51 version! I have a half-dozen Retro 51 rollerball pens and use them daily and gift them to friends/family, so it's not about that. Anyhow, finally got this beautiful Corsair model with a M nib. First of all, a salute to Retro for including a converter, 2 ink carts and a full and very detailed instruction manual. I hate it when I'm expected to pay extra (Platinum for one)for a converter when you're already paying a premium for a pen. That's just annoying. So again, kudos to Retro. Good solid pen, the M nib is very wet, but was ready to write instantly and is very smooth. As usual, anything from Retro is a stand-out performer (and no, I don't work for them)!

This is a great looking pen and writes very smoothly. I have more than 10 fountain pens and I don't write terribly often. Often the pen I pick up has dried up ink if I haven't used it in a couple of months. Never happened with this one.

A gift for a friend, very cool look as far as I’m concerned. I’m hoping they work well for him, as he may not have used fountain pens since his childhood (50 + yr.s ago ??). I liked their look ??

A great inexpensive pen. I love the look and the feel of this pen while writing. Metallic finish, but with a resin grip that is comfortable.

Nib writes a bit on the dry side, which I don't love. But I haven't used my wettest inks in it yet, so that may be a non-issue. And I'm ok with fixing it on my own if it is, so if you are, don't let that be a deterrent.

Only other con is that the cap's threads don't inspire a ton of confidence. Could've been machined better.

Overall I really enjoy this pen. Great weight and balance. Looks fantastic.

This is a SOLID pen body and the best Jowo5 body for indestructability in the price range. That being said, and this may just be a weird anomaly, but the jowo nib I got with this pen was not working well and I replaced it with another. Since then its one of the best most reliable pens I have, but be careful putting on the cap as its very coarse inside and may be what damaged the original nib for me.

This pen writes so very well! I suggest these pens to all fountain pen enthusiasts! Beautiful to boot, I would love to see Retro 51 make more fountain pens and have them on sale fir more than a short amount of time.

I own well over 100 Retro51 rollerballs, but this if my first Fountain Pen from them. In true Retro51 style, the pen has not disappointed. The medium nib provides good ink flow but does not flood the paper. Its smooth, give no feedback and is overall a great pen! I've already ordered a couple more Retro51 pens!
