Retro 51 Vintage Metalsmith Fountain Pens Reviews
I choose the Mustang, and I love it! It's a heavy pen with intricate details, definitely not for someone with small hands, but it's sturdy and an eye-catcher.

I really enjoy the aesthetics of the Retro 51 Metalsmith "Corsair". The pen is a tad heavy and still a blast to use, but this one is being put into the collection for posterity.

This pen is fantastic. It’s lightweight and although sleek, it has the right thickness for a good grip. I recommend it!

One of my very favorite stub nibs. It's smooth but still gives me a sense of the paper I'm using, and reliably lays down a good swath of ink even if it's been sitting dormant over the weekend. I love a good weighty pen, and this feels substantial even when unposted. The line width variation is pleasing, and the burnished copper barrel makes me very happy every time I pick it up. Alas, most other Retro 51 pens I've seen are not visually appealing to me, but if they ever make more along these lines, I will snap them up.

Nice pen, quite attractive. It is metal so a bit on the heavy side, but that was expected. At the moment I'm having problems with the ink flow. Starts wet and then dries up in about one line on a page. If I can get that sorted out I'll be very pleased with the pen.

I ordered the Corsair in a Fine Point Nib, due to disappointing results from the EF Nib in the P-51 Mustang. The detail, quality & workmanship are all excellent on this Corsair. The rivets line-up when screwing on the cap.
The Fine Nib is an excellent and smooth writer. Wish the EF Nib on the P-51 Mustang wrote as nicely.

Vintage Metalsmith Lincoln - Love this pen! Beautiful shading on the copper-colored metal. I ordered the stub nib and it behaves beautifully with the sparkle inks. Pen has a good weight in the hand and does not feel like a cheap metal. My first Retro pen and I'm impressed and very happy with this purchase!

I love this pen! The 1.1 stub nib is nice and smooth. I love how the seams on the cap line up with the seams on the barrel.

This is not only a classic design but a Great writing pen. I love it. And it is true that life is too short to carry an ugly pen.
