About the Platinum Plaisir
The Platinum Plaisir fountain pen incorporates the patented "Slip & Seal" technology that prevents clogging and drying even when the pen goes unused for a year. The Plaisir features bright aluminum metal body created with a special anodized processing treatment that makes the pen hard to scratch surface. The Platinum Plaisir fountain pen is inexpensive and perfect for everyday use. Choose from a wide selection of bright vibrant colors. Each Plaisir fountain pen comes with a stainless steel nib.
Note:Platinum recently changed the color of the nibs on the Platinum Plaisir fountain pens from the matching color-coordinated nibs to all chrome color nibs.

The cap on the pen simply snaps off. The pen doesn't post real well. You can set the cap on the pen but there is nothing to told the cap on. So if you'd rather write without the pen posted you can do that as well. Now the grip section on the pen is just a clear transparent grip section. So as the ink flows through this section of the pen you can see the ink in the pen.
The other thing is pretty cool about the Plaisir pen is the nib. The nib on the pen will match whatever color the rest of the pen is. So if you have a red pen you're going to get a red nib. If it's a yellow pen it's going to have a yellow nib which is pretty cool. I like the different colors on the nibs on the Platinum Plaisir fountain pen. Note: The nib now comes in silver on each of the pens and no longer matches the color of the pen.
To change the ink on the Platinum Plaisir pen you simply unscrew the nib section from the barrel. Included with the pen is going to be one ink cartridge. There's no converter with the pen. Included is just simply an ink cartridge. So you can replace that ink cartridges other colors if you would rather do that.

Platinum Plaisir Video Script
This is the Platinum Plaisir fountain pen. It comes in a wide range of colors. This is the red version of the Plaisir pen. It comes with chrome accents on the pen. We have a chrome clip on the pen with a red stripe running through the center of the chrome clip. You can see the profile of the clip. It is just a standard clip on the cap of the pen. Then there's a large chrome band at the bottom of the pen or the bottom the cap. We have the Plaisir logo and Platinum Japan on the backside with some other decorative engravings around the band. These are basically an upgrade from the Preppy and Prefounte and everyone should have an idea what they are buying. These are metal bodied pens and come in an array of colors. The pen is classically styled and shaped making it fit seamlessly in the hand. The section is the same as the Preppy as is the nib and these are all interchangeable which gives the user quite a bit of versatility in choices. The writing experience is just fine but you do need to be aware that a Japanese fine is much finer than a Western or European nib. This can make a difference with how the nib feels on paper. Besides that, these pens fit comfortably in the pocket and look fairly chic so they can participate out there in public without the garishness of the Preppy. Watch for sales and nab an even better value. Great little pen!

I know it's technically an upgraded Preppy, but it feels much more over all satisfying than its cheaper brethren. It should be able to take a lot of abuse. The black mist version has a pebbled texture too.

I have other Plaisir pens, so I was confident I would be happy with this one. I ordered the Red Amabie. I knew nothing about what an "amabie" was, so finding the little engraving of an amabie was a delight! (For other curious folk: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amabie) The engraving on the pen is the same as the image on the top of the Wikipedia page.
It was a surprise and a delight, and I'm glad I ordered it, even though I didn't know what it was at the time of order.

They are stainless steel but used to be colored. Platinum has stopped coloring the nibs and so we have some of the older pens in stock that are colored to match the pen and then the newer pens that are a silver color nib. If you want to request a silver color nib we can make sure you get one.Q:

The Platinum Plaisir fountain pen comes with an ink cartridge. You buy more of the Platinum ink cartridges for refills and it only takes the Platinum brand. You can also buy a Platinum 500 ink converter for the pen and then use bottled fountain pen inks.Q:
