Platinum has been making fine writing instruments of over 90 years. Founded in since 1919 by Shunichi Nakata, this Japanese pen company is well respected for their fine nibs and maki-e art pens. The company was originally named Nakaya seisakusho which means manufacturer but renamed to Platinum Fountain Pen Co along with its logo which became a motif of earth.
After WWII the company changed its name from Platinum Fountain Pen Company to Platinum Industry Company only to change the name back to Platinum Fountain Pen Company in 1962.
Platinum fountain pens are designed not to do not dry out when they are left capped over long periods of time. Platinum pens also create the cartridge style fountain pen.
Most Platinum pens come with a 1 year warranty. Warranty information is included with each Platinum pen. For details on a specific Platinum pen fee free to ask.

I love this pen! It is absolutely beautiful and the pictures do not nearly do it justice! Plus I love the way Platinum pens write and you can't buy from a better seller! Pen Chalet has been my go-to for many many years!

I heard a lot about the 3776 and decided to try it. I got the fine nib. It has a unique feel on the general paper I write on at work, but I have been using it regularly and have grown to really like the feel and the way it writes. I am impressed that it always starts ink flow right away.

Wasn't expecting to like this one but it has been my EDC since I received it. It just makes me happy. Fills easily, writes smoothly, looks great! It's a win win!

Very interesting pen. When retracted the pen becomes much longer which is a little odd looking but not a big deal. The extra fine nib is truly pin point detail. The function is smooth. I have not had this pen long enough to see how travel and temp changes affect it, but so far I am liking it.

I love these pens! For an inexpensive fountain pen, it's the best! They are comfortable to write with, come in lots of fun colors and very lightweight. I especially like the fine nib (.03). They round out my collection of fountain pens, from inexpensive to expensive.

They fit the Platinum 3776 Century fountain pens solidly, and don’t come loose, or leak. Easy to turn and use. They don’t hold a lot of ink, but if you’re purchased a Platinum 3776 Century, you know this already. That’s the downside to this fountain pen, not the converter. Quality converter.

One of my favorite pens. The fine nib might not be for everyone, but if you love accuracy and satisfying feedback, it's great

I use this ink in my Platinum Preppy marker pens and the ink is a nice semi-bright shade of blue. It is not too dark on paper and I like that. I have not used it in a fountain pen so I cannot say how the color lays down using a nib rather than a marker tip.

This is my first (and, for now, my only) Platinum pen. It’s terrific. The size is comfortable, it has a great sparkling quality, the the nib(a medium) is terrific - a great introduction to that pencil-like feedback that people often describe of Platinum. My other gold-nib pens are smaller sizes (F and MF), so this has a broader line on paper than the others, but it’s not too wide.
While it’s not my first Platinum, it certainly won’t be my last!

This is my second Platinum 3776, the first having a light brown and black cellulose barrel and cap with gold colored appointments and a 14k fine nib. This new one is different only in appearance with a translucent dark green barrel. Both are easy on the eyes and write smooth as an Olympic ice-skater. Oh yea, they are both a lot of bang for the buck.

Wow! What a gorgeous pen! It is absolutely stunning! It took me a long time to find the two hearts inside the finials, of course my husband eyes them in seconds, hahaha! This feature reminds me of the eye spy tubes I had when I was a kid. When you do find the hearts it’s just so precious! I can’t wait to post an unboxing on my channel! I love this pen and I love the customer service. Pen chalet packed everything perfectly and shipped it incredibly fast!

Very comfortable pen and writes very smoothly. It's a pleasure to use. It's a very striking and unusual color that I especially enjoy.

This is the best fountain pen I've had in DECADES. Weights like a feather (I have small hands and write with very light pressure; a pen like the Pilot 823 starts to be a bit on the heavy side of pens to me) and the smooth feel of the nib (Japanese F, so writes like a European EF) and the quality of the feed: constant and equal flow even with dry inks.

Very nice affordable pens! They don’t look or perform like a “cheap” pen. Fine but “flexy” nib. The materials are attractive and the design is clean and elegant. I’m not a pen “Snob”. I would be happy to use or give these to anyone.

I love this! The tip is a nice size tip and writes well. I use it for just about anything. If you are a heavy handed writer, I would be careful as the tip seems to be a fiber type of some sort and it may wind up squished. I did not use the Platinum Preppy ink cartridge but the converter with Pilot ink, which for me flows very smooth. Overall I like this marker. I did buy another one to use. I have not tried to change ink colors yet so I cannot say how the marker will hold up for that.
