Excellent pen! The fine nib is closer to extra fine (which I like) and it writes first time, every time no matter the ink. I have four of them and they are all a delight to use.

I'm not a big fan of how cold this metal pen gets in winter. Ink flows well even when it's been ignored for a long time. Though this is more handsome, I prefer writing with a Preppy.

Purchased the Turquoise with F (Western EF) nib. Matte finish has powder-coated like appearance with slight texture so doesn't slip when handling. Cap comes off with simple 270 degree twist. Threads are smooth both in twisting and to the touch when gripping to write. Nib is firm, smooth with whiff of feedback and uniform line. No hard starts or skipping --Platinum slip 'n' seal at work. Grip tapers comfortably below the barrel beginning with the threads. No converter with the pen but not really needed as provided long Platinum cartridge holds more ink and easy to refill with blunt needle syringe. Aluminum construction gives mild heft. Fanciful nib logo on the cap. Nice pen at attractive price with solid Platinum reputation--just like service at Pen Chalet.

A great fountain pen at a lower price point than the 3776 Century. The cap seal has worked well for me thus far - no noticeable drying out, but I haven't had the pen for a year yet. Feels very solid, and uses the Platinum converters, which I've never had a problem with. The steel medium nib provides a smooth, enjoyable writing experience.
