The Rembrandt Azure takes its name from two distinct sources. First, the Rembrandt Azure takes its name from the mineral Lapis Lazuli, a stone prized for it’s stunning beauty. Second, the Rembrandt Azure also takes its name from the blue sky on a clear day. The pale white swirls that wrap around the blue resin body, call back to memories of a clear summer sky. In addition, the Visconti Rembrandt Azure Fountain Pen comes with a magnetic cap. Traditional snap caps will eventually loosen and wear down over time, whereas a magnetic cap does not. Also, magnetic caps promote an “Ease of Access” which other capping mechanisms do not.

The famous “My Pen System” from Visconti is also included on each Rembrandt Azure, which allows you to personalize your pen. The unique Visconti clip comes engraved with the brand name. The shape of the clip takes its inspiration from the Ponte Vecchio Bridge in Florence, Italy. The pen is a pretty standard length, at 5.5 inches long capped, and 4.9 inches un-capped. The Rembrandt Azure measures to 6.3 inches long while posted. The pen weighs 1.16 ounces while capped or posted, and weighs 0.7 ounces while un-capped and not posted.
