This is the Noodler's Ink Konrad Brush Pen. It comes in just a simple cardboard box. The pen is on the inside. We have the Noodler's Ink Konrad Brush Pen.
This is the black version of the pen that has chrome accents. On the top of the cap is just a plain black cap with a small chrome band that connects the clip. It's a chrome clip with a "Noodler's Ink" engraved into the clip and then at the bottom of the cap is a chrome band. Once again, "Noodler's Ink" is engraved into that chrome band on the bottom of the cap. The barrel of the pen is just a simple black barrel. The cap on the pen is threaded and unscrews. It can be posted on the pen.
This is the brush tip which is a simple brush tip similar to what you'd find on a paint brush. And this pen uses fountain pen ink, so there's a transparent viewing window. You can see the ink inside the pen.
To fill the pen, you would unscrew this cap on the bottom of the pen and then there's a small knob. That small knob, if you twist that, it moves the piston to draw the ink into the chamber of the pen and then you would use that fountain pen ink to write with using the bristles or the brush tip. Unique pen, kind of fun to use. Get you Noodler's Konrad Brush Fountain Pen at PenChalet.com.
The Brush pen also comes with an interchangeable rollerball tip with the rollerball tip installed.

Noodlers Konrad Brush Reviews
This is a very nice pen at a good price, I believe. It's very nice to be able to use any ink I want in it, and it works very well. Thanks to Pen Chalet for making it available when I couldn't fine it elsewhere.

With the included rollerball attachment, this Roller Konrad is a terrific pen. I loaded with with Noodler's Roller Eel Black, and it has yet to skip or bleed or anything. Just writes and writes, smooth and easy.

As a rollerball, this works surprisingly well. Though, one must be careful to get the rollerball tip to seal just right, lest you get inky fingers.
As a brush pen, I was disappointed. The brush does not stay very pointed, though the springback is pretty quick. The ebonite makes a bit of flow issues through the brush, which is unfortunate. The pen is too light, and too short for my taste. It’s a good diameter, though. The cap takes quite a few turns to get off. My piston mechanism didn’t want to stay screwed into the pen, which is annoying. I bought the black, and it’s a boring color. Also, this pen smells *bad*.

A finer and better for calligraphy version of the brush pen. Excellent to use! Even better that it comes with the roller-ball!

I found this pen exciting and useful. the ink flows smoothly and the brush never looses its shape. You can depend upon it stroke after stroke. Was so much fun I bought a 2nd one for lighter colored inks. I found it a bit of an ordeal to clean the dark inks from the brush. I haven't experimented with switching out the brush yet; but I see that in the future. I truly like having a portable brush to take with me.

The shorter, more tapered brush, compare to the Ahab Brush, gives a little more control in calligraphic brush lettering. The easily removed screw cap at the end of the pen, gives quick access to the screw piston ink cartridge converter for replenishing ink to the brush. This pen also comes with a second ball point writing stylist that just screws in place of the brush nib.

Would give 6 stars if I could! This and the Ahab are the only true fountain brush pens I know of. Nice fine but variable line, good for calligraphy or art work. If you want a thicker line, you can use a full brush tip replacement or get the Ahab. A good value at $20. If you refill it several times, it will be cheaper than a disposable or cartridge brush pen and work at least as well. I have the clear version, and like the fact that you can see exactly how much ink you have left.

FAQs about the Noodlers Konrad Brush
Q:
I have just received the noodlers Konrad brush pen...but it's not a brush, it's a rollerball, the brush bit is separate and loose. Brush looks messy, not great quality. But main thing...I cannot get the rollerball section out. It's completely stuck.
A:
The Noodlers Brush pen now comes as a rollerball/brush pen combo. to change from the rollerball tip simply unscrew it from the pen and screw the brush tip in its place.
