I got the Lemon Drop colored pen and it's a beaut. It's a pretty color and impresses girls. "Can I try your pen?"
"Sure, let me show you how to do italic lettering. Just let me guide your hand..."

This is a big pen; it does post pretty securely, but why bother?
It's large and well balanced w/o posting. The nib is a revolution. I've been variously irritated by the "flex" in Noodler's various nibs. They can be real nails that flex out if you really bear down, but it's no fun to write like that. Not with this nib. It's a juicy monster that gives all kinds of line variation with a light touch. It takes a little finesse, but the quality of this nib is the best steel flexibility I've ever seen. It's really fun. The pen itself is a whole different level of quality than other Noodler's pens, which are bargains and mostly quite well made, don't get me wrong. But dang, this pen, in it's traditional design, is about half or a quarter the retail cost of a Japanese or Italian made comparable pen. I'm giving this an Excellent in the Style category because of the way Noodler's has worked a two slit, rubber feed, to support the two slit flexy nib so it's a really sexy writer. Stock up on your sheening inks; it's a fire hose.
Just btw, if it's a little scratchy at first, don't start messing with abrasives. Write with it for several pages and see if the pressure on paper doesn't make it buttery and responsive. This is a quality nib; don't go adjusting it because it won't be available w/o the pen in the foreseeable future (I'll bet a million dollars that N's wants to limit sales to nibs with pens for optimal profitability: the nib and feed are a weird size, not 6 but 6 1/2-7? I know of no other pen with the same size parts. Or for the price, anything like this quality.

Excellent gusher of a brush. It can be hard to control when you use a wet ink. But should be relatively easy to use, if you know how to use a brush pen.

I love to tinker so the Noodler's line of products is right up my alley. I bought these to experiment with carving the feed to allow for more flow using different flex nibs in my Charlie pens. Worked out great

Refillable 308 Cartridge
Great for refilling Ahab pens and eyedroppers! These little refillable cartridges are designed for the Ahab pen; you just unscrew the piston converter and screw one of the cartridges in its place. I love that the carts have a place on the back end to screw the cap, so you don't misplace it while the cartridge is in use. I also use these to carry around a bunch of my favorite ink colors in a little metal mint tin for my eyedropper fill pens, like the Noodler's Charlie pen. It's a great way to change ink colors in the Ahab, if you're like me and your ink choices change with your moods. And I love having so many choices on hand without having to have big bottles with me.

These were a special order item and Pen Chalet, as usual, came through like a champ. I received my Noodler's #2 nibs in quick time and the online customer service agent was extremely helpful, efficient, and awesome. I always receive the best service from Pen Chalet, and I don't expect any less. The nibs are great too, perfect for the Noodler's standard flex pen and the Charlie pen.

I ordered this because I wanted to try out a Noodler pen and didn't expect much, but this pen exceeded all my expectations. The pen feels really good to write with, isn't too heavy, very very smooth. Also, the pen just looks so beautiful. The pen is a steal at its price, I plan to order more

This one is fabulous. Writes ready and wet every time. That's EVERY TIME. I am planning on making another purchase of this very same pen, as it is gorgeous and has a natural feel in the hand. It flexes with ease and its trace and line variation are extremely precise. Well worth the money, even at twice the price... I would still buy two. It have become a daily go-to for me, in just a less than a week's time.

It's a beautiful fountain pen. I expected a little more flex, but it takes a lot of pressure to make it flex like most of the reviews on YouTube. As just a pen, it is fantastic, showing a little flex in just normal writing. I was also expecting that I would need to spend a lot of time to tweek the nib and the feed, and was pleasantly surprised that it wrote perfect, straight out of the box.

Thank you Pen Chalet!

Konrad Brush
I found this pen exciting and useful. the ink flows smoothly and the brush never looses its shape. You can depend upon it stroke after stroke. Was so much fun I bought a 2nd one for lighter colored inks. I found it a bit of an ordeal to clean the dark inks from the brush. I haven't experimented with switching out the brush yet; but I see that in the future. I truly like having a portable brush to take with me.

The jury is still out on this one. I haven't been writing wit it long enough to give a fair voice. I use it in a Lamy Al Star. It is rather odd behaving. It could be my pen. I love the smell of this ink though.

Konrad Brush
The shorter, more tapered brush, compare to the Ahab Brush, gives a little more control in calligraphic brush lettering. The easily removed screw cap at the end of the pen, gives quick access to the screw piston ink cartridge converter for replenishing ink to the brush. This pen also comes with a second ball point writing stylist that just screws in place of the brush nib.

Bottled(4.5oz)
I bought a few 4.5oz bottled Noodlers ink. The primary reason I bought this size is for the eye-droppers for each color I would see myself use regularly. I have heart of darkness, bay state blue, Nikita and Dragons Napalm. Most of the 4.5oz bottled ink price is not as competitive as the general 3oz versions, if you just compare the price per oz cost. All 4.5oz bottles come with a Charlie empty eyedropper pen. The Charlie's concept is great, which also inspired me to convert my Ahab into an eyedropper. But the Charlies cannot write well. I got a few Charlies from my 4.5oz bottle ink purchases, but I will soon put them all away because none of them could write well and I am not an expert to tinker with the Charlies to make them behave.

Cost wise, getting the 4.5oz bottle version is still a better deal because I don't want to separately spend money to buy glass eyedropper bottles (not as cost beneficial).

I use Noodlers ink in all of my fountain pens. The Noodlers ink feathers and penetrates into cheap papers (Staples branded loose leave, notebooks and their cheapest copy papers). So, you should expect to write on one side of any Staples papers and the backsides are basically rendered un-writable. I also have tried Noodlers ink on Hammermill general purpose copy papers. The ink does not feather as much compared to Staples papers, but still penetrates into the papers, so, you can only use one side of the Hammermills.

While Noodlers inks are one of the least expensive in the market, but you will end up using more papers for general purpose writing. I don't have other inks for comparison. I hope other buyers post their own findings to share their experiences.

I have do not used Noodlers ink for drawing, as such, no opinion on this ink's quality on artwork.

Refillable 308 Cartridge
I love the Refillable 308 Cartridge! I first found it on Amazon but the price is just too expensive. I wish Noodlers will come out with a similar large-capacity eyedropper cartridge for the Neponset. After using the Refillable 308 Cartridge, all other cartridges just cannot compare to the capacity that the "308" offers

I needed a "document" type ink for work, so I read all the reviews and settled on 54th Mass. for my first black/blue-black ink. With no other blue-black inks to compare it with, I haven't developed the warm-fuzzies over the 54th Mass. quite yet. This ink shades on the blue side given the paper I've tried it on including Rhodia. All in all, it plays better for me in broader nibs and smoother paper: delightfully wet and smooth in a TWSBI 580AL medium, very slightly less so in a Pelikan M200 medium and much drier in the Aurora Ipsilon fine nib. Lays down a very nice line on Office Depot 24# premium laser paper without feathering or bleed through, and dries quickly too. However, I do observe slight ghosting on my laser check paper.

One thing for sure, you get your monies worth of ink from Noodlers. It was filled to the brim. I do like this ink, but it is to early to tell how this ink will fare compared to other blue-blacks I have inbound ... win, place or show?

Neponset
Finally, a Noodler's nib with real flex. I popped it out of the box, inked it up, and haven't put it down for a couple days. This pen is much more fun and much higher quality than either the Ahab (I have two) or Creaper which all require some serious effort to flex. The Neponset nib, on the other hand, is a flexy gusher. However, it's a Broad nib to start with, so it requires some touch to the most interesting line variations. Nevertheless, it's a large, well made pen. I got the lemon-drop yellow acrylic version, and it's really pretty. The acrylic has an excellent feel to it and on my pen anyway, the section was also acrylic and very comfortable for long periods of writing (unposted, btw, it's a perfect size for unposted writing). It's easily the juiciest nib I've ever written with, but that's just fun for me. It's not a pen for someone with tiny subtle handwriting, but if you like to slash your ink all over the place, it's great. Not dip nib flexy and not wet noodle, but it likes to respond to pressure. Easily worth the Penchalet price (get that 10% discount and free shipping! and no, I don't own stock in Penchalet, I'm just a fiend for good prices).
