Sailor 1911 Fresca Blue Fountain Pen

The Sailor 1911 is the company flagship and is well know for its great performance and reliability. The pen comes in two sizes, the Sailor 1911 Standard fountain pen and the Sailor 1911 Large fountain pen and the new Fresca blue color is available in both. The color also comes in all seven Sailor nib sizes, extra fine, fine, medium fine, medium, broad, zoom and music, so there is no limit to the selection as with many special edition pens.

Both the Sailor 1911 standard and the 1911 Large are cartridge/converter style fill systems and both are fitted with solid gold nibs. The Sailor 1911 Fresca Blue Standard comes with a 14k gold nib and the Sailor 1911 Fresca Blue Large comes with a 21k. If you have never tried a Sailor nib before you are in for a treat. As with other Japanese pen companies they do tend to run a bit finer than their Western counterparts so you may want to choose one step broader than you are used to.
