Wearingeul Night Colored in Grape Ink Review:

Now that you have all the background information about today’s ink, let’s go ahead and dive right into the Wearingeul Night Colored in Grape ink review. We’ll start by taking a look at the packaging and then do a few standard ink review tests to see how it performs.

What Type of Packaging and Ink Bottle Do They Use?

Wearingeul uses sturdy 30ml square glass ink bottles.
Wearingeul uses sturdy 30ml square glass ink bottles.

Wearingeul Night Colored in Grape ink comes in the brand’s 30ml glass ink bottle that has a classic (and very usable) square shape, and the bottle comes packaged inside a branded white box with clear labeling showing the ink color as the label background, and text indicating the color name and ink series. The labeling also indicates standard or glistening (which I find very helpful).

How Fast Did Wearingeul Night Colored in Grape Ink Dry?

Wearingeul Night Colored in Grape ink review dry test.

We conducted a dry test and saw a pretty extraordinarily FAST dry time of about 1-2 seconds. This is a ridiculously fast dry time – so anyone looking for a good everyday, light purple ink that dries quickly, this is a fantastic option.

How Does Wearingeul Night Colored in Grape Ink Hold Up Against Water?

We also put today’s ink to a water test. We always do this even when the inks aren’t promoted as waterproof – just to see just how NOT waterproof they are and what we can expect if they are exposed to moisture. After conducting the water test, in which we put down a writing sample, let it dry for 2 minutes, and then run a wet cotton swab over the writing, we, again, had some pretty AWESOME results:

  • Water showed almost no effect on the ink
  • If you look very closely, you can see an extremely tiny amount of ink lift
  • At first glance, I would say the water had no effect on this ink at all. If I wasn’t studying it very closely, I would think Wearingeul’s Standard version of Night Colored in Grape ink is waterproof.

Did Wearingeul Night Colored in Grape Ink Exhibit Any Special Traits or Properties During the Review?

We also looked for any special traits or properties you might be interested in hearing about while we were working with the ink. We know we love to hear about inks that are great shaders or sheening inks that will add extra life to our writing. This light purple ink has some shading properties, but it’s not a huge shader. It has no shading or glistening properties.

Was There Any Ghosting During the Wearingeul Night Colored in Grape Ink Review?

We used the Pllot Iro Utsushi dip pens during the Wearingeul Grape Colored Night Standard ink review.

We saw no evidence of ghosting during the Night Colored in Grape ink review. (We conducted the dry test and water test in a Rhodia ICE notepad (grid)).

Did the Review Ink Feather?

We didn’t see any feathering during today’s Wearingeul Night Colored in Grape ink review either.

Final Conclusion: Wearingeul Night Colored in Grape ink, the STANDARD version of a Glistening Favorite

Wearingeul Grape Colored Night Standard ink review.

Thanks for joining in for today’s ink review. This was a fun one – Wearingeuli’s Night Colored in Grape is a beautiful light purple that also shows up well on paper. It has a bit of shading properties, but its power seems to lie in its ability to dry wildly fast (1-2 seconds – so immediately?) and to stand strong when exposed to moisture. (It almost tricked us into thinking it was waterproof). Weaingeul Night Colored in Grape (standard) ink is a fantastic option for everyday writing, those looking for a fast-drying ink that is easily legible on the page, and special projects that need a really light purple ink color that somehow makes itself known on paper without any problems with legibility.
