For today’s Ferris Wheel Press Crystal Blue Legacy ink review, we’ll take a look at how the ink is packaged, how fast it dries, and how the ink responds to water (during our standard water test). We’ll also examine how the ink performs with a cotton swab swatch and a writing sample.

What Type of Packaging and Ink Bottle Do They Use?

Crystal Blue Legacy ink is in typically gorgeous Ferris Wheel Press packaging.
The packaging: the 38ml ink bottle is packaged inside a beautifully designed cardboard box.

Ferris Wheel Press’s Crystal Blue Legacy ink is packaged in the brand’s beautiful 38ml jewelry-inspired ink bottle. The 38ml ink bottle is stackable and features the brand’s distinctive gold threaded cap that resembles the “nut” you might see on a Ferris Wheel or other large carnival-type equipment. The Ferris Wheel Press packaging is immaculate in each and every detail of its design. In fact, many may find themselves entertained for quite some time simply looking at the gorgeous packaging design.

Any Special Traits or Properties?

During the Ferris Wheel Press Crystal Blue Legacy ink review, we looked for any special traits or properties you might be interested in hearing about. We know we love to hear about inks that are great shaders or sheening inks that will add extra life to our writing. This ink’s blue shimmer against the deep dark navy offers a great subtle shimmer that you could enjoy while also using it as an everyday ink. The ink also offers some shading (much more apparent on different types of paper) showing up as navy with darker shades coming in as burgundy-dark brown and lighter areas as a more violet-purple.

Was There Any Ghosting?

During our review, we saw no evidence of ghosting. Our tests were conducted on Rhodia paper. (Results may vary depending on the paper you use – we always recommend using a fountain pen friendly paper like Rhodia, Clairefontaine, Tomoe River paper, etc).

Did Today’s Featured Ferris Wheel Press Ink Feather?

We didn’t see any feathering during today’s Ferris Wheel Press ink review either.

I’m not typically one for shimmer inks, but this one looks like it might be subtle enough that it could be nice. I really like the shading aspect of this ink.
