The New Sailor Barcarolle Fountain Pen

The Sailor Barcarolle Pen has just been announced! Available as either a fountain pen or a ballpoint pen. Coming end of January, 2017.

This new pen design from Sailor has a brass body and cap and metal trim. The pen is available in 3 different body colors and 2 trim colors. Choose from the matte black finish with either IP gold plated or nickel plated trim. Add some color with one of the glossy finishes in either of the red or blue colors, both come with the silver color trim.

Sailor Barcarolle Fountain Pen Nib

Each Sailor Barcarolle Fountain Pen comes fitted with a 14k gold nib that is color coordinated with the trim and available in either a fine or a medium tip. The silver color nibs are rhodium plated to give the gold nib that matching silver color.

The Barcarolle is a cartridge converter style fountain pen and comes with an ink converter for bottled inks as was as an ink cartridge to get you started.

The brass construction fountain pen weighs 35g(1.23 oz) and is slightly heavier than the resin body Sailor 1911 fountain pen. The dimensions of the pen is about 15mm(0.59 in) in diameter and 136mm(5.35 in) length.

Sailor Barcarolle Ballpoint Pen

The ballpoint version of the pen comes with a twist action mechanism and one 0.7mm black ink ballpoint refill(18-0300) included. Of course, the grip section of the ballpoint pen matches the rest of the trim in either the nickel plated or gold colors.

Each Barcarolle Ballpoint Pen weighs 37g(1.3 oz), is 15mm(0.59 in) in diameter and is 140mm(5.51 in) in length.

Both the Sailor Barcarolle ballpoint and fountain pens have the Sailor logo emblem raised in the metal medallion atop the cap matching the gold or silver color of the rest of the trim on the pen.
