M200 Pelikan Pastel-Green Fountain Pen

Pelikan Pastel-Green, a New Classic 200

As we near the shortest day of the year, the winter solstice, it’s easy to find ourselves looking ahead. Waiting patiently for days filled with sunshine and a night that doesn’t begin at 4 pm. Springtime is our liberator from the darkness of winter and Pelikan is celebrating that. Introducing the Pelikan Pastel-Green, another addition to the Classic 200 series.

Design of Pelikan Pastel-Green

The breaking of the morning dawn inspired the color choice for this new Classic 200 pen. Dawn brings forth a moment when the sun touches the cusp of the horizon, filling the sky with soft tendrils of light and color. Created using semi-transparent materials, the Pelikan Pastel-Green has a marbelized look running throughout the body of the pen. In turn, this transparent aspect also allows users to get a glimpse of the inner workings of the pen.

Aesthetically pleasing, the pen’s pastel green color pairs with white resin parts and a gold-plated nib and trimmings, further evoking the softness of morning light. Together, these features create the look of a spring morning.

What to Expect

As with other members of the Classic 200 series, Pastel-Green will be available as either a fountain pen or ballpoint pen.

The Pelikan M200 Pastel-Green fountain pen has a gold-plated stainless steel nib. It will be available in nib sizes; Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, and Broad. Pastel-Green will have Pelikan’s trademarked piston filling system. The Ballpoint pen version of the pen has been outfitted with 24K gold-plated clip and rings.

While we’re still trudging through the months of winter, it doesn’t hurt to look ahead. Pelikan’s new addition to the Classic 200 series is a reminder of the sunlit days to come, that will break through the cold almost as soft morning dawn. Happy writing from Germany!
