The previous installation of the Aurora 88, was the very popular Aurora 88 Sole, which celebrated Aurora’s 70^th year of the 88 model pen and released only 888 pieces world wide.

In 2017 Aurora is releasing a second stellar themed 88 model, the Aurora 88 Nebulosa fountain pen.  Again this new edition of the Aurora 88 pen is limited to just 888 pieces and will be available in March of 2017 and will be available in a fountain pen version as well as a rollerball.

The Aurora 88 Nebulosa, takes a similar appearance of the very popular Aurora 88 Sole, except is purple in color.  The 18K solid gold Aurora nib is an Aurora in-house made nib, with gold accents such as the distinctive Aurora clip and a gold band at the base of the cap with the stylistic Aurora name.

The marbleized, slightly translucent purple cap and barrel section with the gold accents makes for a very beautiful combination.  The cap finial is a black resin as is the pen’s grip section.  The Aurora 88 Nebulosa, like the Sole has a small ink window to view the remaining amount of ink left in this piston filled writing instrument.
