The Aurora 88 Sole Limited Edition fountain pen commemorates the 70th anniversary of the Aurora 88. With only 888 pens made and engraved with it's own distinct number, the Aurora 88 Sole will not be available for long.
The Aurora 88 Sole Limited Edition fountain pen comes fitted with an 18k gold nib and has a piston fill mechanism. The threaded cap is postable as well. Each pen also comes with a bottle of Aurora fountain pen ink included.

You see the top of the cap, just a black glossy cap and the Aurora, or I'm sorry, just a plain clip with, the Aurora logo is actually engraved on the center band of the pen in cursive. And at the bottom is the piston fill mechanism with a small gold band separating the black resin from the celluloid orange resin. Slight transparency to the cap and barrel. You can kind of see the nib on the inside there as you pull it out. It comes with an 18K gold nib. You can see the engravings there on the nib of the pen with the feed on the backside.
Small ink viewing window for the pen, you can actually see the ink levels. That clear glass, it's kind of a little bit of smokey color to it with gold rings on both sides, and then the black glossy section, pretty good section. Decent sized pen. You can post the pen and it feels comfortable with that cap posted. So, whether you like the cap posted or not, either way. Great design, I really like the pen. Also included with the pen under the false bottom of the box, is a bottle of Aurora black ink. If you've never tried Aurora black ink, it's great ink. This is the Aurora 88 Sole Fountain Pen. It comes in a large, black wood box. It have the Aurora logo on the top of the box lid. Hinged style lid lifts open, nice brass hinges. The Aurora logo is on the underside of the box lid with made in Italy, and of course, we have the Aurora 88 Sole Fountain Pen. I have a small fountain pen collection and did not own an Aurora when considering purchasing this pen. This Aurora is a very handsome looking writing instrument. Initially, I had writing issues although the pen was brand new. Pen Chalet had arranged with the distributers to have it fixed. It came back writing beautifully. Did not take too long either. Overall, I am very pleased with this pen and it's a joy to write with. I highly recommend this product with its large and elegant design.
