About the Aurora 88 Anniversary
The Aurora 88 Anniversary fountain pen commemorates the 70th year anniversary of Aurora. These pens are limited edition items and each are individually numbered with only 188 pieces made worldwide of each color.
Same body shape and piston fill system as the Aurora 88 fountain pens with a special flex nib. Each Aurora 88 Anniversary fountain pen comes with a 14k gold flexible nib that creates line variation with pressure. The pen is hand polished resin and has a special ring with classic Aurora lettering.

This happens to be the orange color. Each month, Aurora has been releasing different colors, and each color is limited to only a certain number of pens.
You can see the gold-colored trim on the pen, the gold clip, and the gold ring at the center of the pen with the Aurora logo engraved on it. A small ring at the bottom of the barrel of the pen with a knob here that will actuate the piston.
The cap is threaded and unscrews. It posts nicely on the end of the barrel of the pen. It has a small ink-viewing window with two gold rings on both sides of the ink-viewing window. A gold-colored nib to match the trim made from 14-karat gold. It is a flex nib, with the feed on the back side. And, like I said earlier, the knob here will actuate the piston, so you just unscrew that to fill the pen with ink.

Aurora 88 Anniversary Video Script
This is the Aurora 88 Anniversary fountain pen. It comes in a large, black, glossy box with the Aurora logo on the top of the box lid. That box lid lifts off, and there is another case with a harder shell with the Aurora logo embossed on the top of the lid. Hinge-style lid that lifts open. Included with the pen is information about Aurora, and a bottle of Aurora ink, as well. And, of course, we have the Aurora 88 Anniversary fountain pen.This happens to be the orange color. I had been tracking the Silver Aurora 88 Flex since i saw the prototype at the Baltimore Pen Show in March. Sleek, stunning, soft nib, lovely writer. Now that i own it, it is everything it was then, and more. A visceral attraction that is borne out every time I use it.

The experience I had at a fountain pen store in Rome, Italy when I first wrote with an Aurora 88 took my breath away. I've been obsessing about owning one ever since June. Nobody should put an 88 to paper unless he/she is prepared to gasp in astonishment at the immediate flow of ink, the barely perceptible feedback from the nib and the comfort of holding the slightly extra long section. It is an astonishing experience. That memory has stuck with me these past 5 months and guided my decision to purchase the 88. Given the opportunity to buy this one (brown) I hesitated only long enough to decide that the Black Friday price was right. Moreover, after seeing the review done by Pen Habit I scaled back my expectations that what I'd be buying is a "wet noodle" nib. All the better for me! This puts the reality in line with the adjusted expectation of what I purchased. And that has resulted in letting go of the fantasy and embracing the reality of an absolutely flawless writing instrument that provides a totally satisfying experience. Watch the Youtube video for cautions, comparisons and a "heads up" comment about the nature of individually tuned Aurora nibs. Would I buy another? Absolutely not. One is all that's needed. It's complete.
