The Green Fountain Pen Inks in Today’s Ink Comparison:
- Ferris Wheel Press 3 Little Pigs Galeforce Green ink: A deep eucalyptus green ink with duochrome green/pink shimmer.
- Endless Alchemy Mystic Forest ink: A forest green ink with some shading and a low crimson-red sheen.
- Van Dieman’s Encore Maestro ink: A unique medium saturation yellow ink with a hint of lime green (and showing darker, greener variations in pools and halos).
- Diamine Purple Edition Merry & Bright ink: A bright, traditional green ink with minimal shading and a champagne shimmer.
- Sailor Manyo 5th Anniversary Ishi (Pebble) ink: A lush green inspired by pebbles in a river.
- Wearingeul Peter Pan ink: A playful ink with a unique olive green base is designed to transform into a vibrant orange-brown once dry.
- Wearingeul Tick Tock Croc ink: A medium green with teal undertones as well as minimal shading and some sheen.
- Wearingeul Tinkerbell ink: a light gray color ink with a hint of green – covered in a sprinkling of gold and silver shimmer (looks like Tinkerbell spilled her bag of pixie dust)
- Colorverse Korea Special Do-dong Forest ink: a dark green color that’s meant to represent the forest that grows naturally on cliffs.
- Colorverse Korea Special King’s Road ink: a light minty green ink with low shading.
- Ferris Wheel Press Woven Warmth Hampton Harbour Sage ink: A subtle sage green ink with a cool silver shimmer.
- Dominant Industry Alchemist Philosopher’s Stone CALLIGRAPHY ink (not for use with fountain pens): Initially a light green ink, Philosopher’s Stone changes color when exposed to sunlight (UV light). The ink can transform into a deep reddish purple, pale pink, or magenta, depending on the intensity of the light. It also has a subtle silver shimmer. Once removed from the light, the ink gradually returns to its original color.
Today’s “Award Winning” Fountain Pen Inks:
Once we got a good look at all the recent green inks released side-by-side, their different traits, shades, and abilities stood out more clearly. Here are a few conclusions we came to taking a look at these twelve green inks.

Sheen Queen: Endless Alchemy Mystic Forest Ink
Three green fountain pen inks in today’s ink comparison show sheen at high saturation: Sailor Manyo Ishi, Wearingeul Tick Tock Croc, and Endless Alchemy Mystic Forest. All three show a crimson sheen. However, I like the Mystic Forest’s combination of darker green base ink color with the intense crimson sheen. Tick Tock Croc’s base is more of a teal green, and Sailor Manyo Pebble’s base is a bit lighter.
Celeb-Level Shimmer: Ferris Wheel Press Galeforce Green ink

There are four inks in today’s green ink comparison that have shimmer properties: Diamine Merry & Bright ink, Wearingeul Tinkerbell ink, Ferris Wheel Press Hampton Harbour Sage ink, and Ferris Wheel Press Galeforce Green ink. The standout winner, in my opinion, was Galeforce Green. However, this award is based on personal preferences, so you should probably take a better look at the shimmer effects yourself and choose your own Celeb-Level Shimmer award winner. I chose Galeforce Green ink because that deep, dark forest green shimmer is simply stunning.
Throwin’ Shade Like a 90’s Rapper: Colorverse Korea Special King’s Road Ink

There were a couple of inks that had a shot at winning my “Throwin’ Shade Like a 90’s Rapper” Award in today’s ink comparison: Van Dieman’s Encore Maestro ink and King’s Road. I went with Colorverse Korea Special King’s Road fountain pen ink because the depth of color possible with this ink was so surprising, considering that the original ink swatch was so light. However, you can’t ignore the brilliant possibilities of Van Dieman’s Maestro ink.
Utterly Unbelievable Award: Dominant Industry Philosopher’s Stone Ink
Today’s Utterly Unbelievable Award goes to Dominant Industry’s Philosoper’s Stone ink. I won’t lie and say that there was close competition. This one was the obvious and only option for this award. If you watched the video showing snippets of the ink comparison, you’d see me drop this ink swatch down and then let it dry. Then pick up the notebook showing the ink swatches for the twelve new inks featured in today’s ink comparison, and walk outside to expose the Philosopher’s Stone ink to the sunlight. It immediately changed from a very light shimmery white-green (that sheens true green at high saturation) to a mauvy-purple color. It was just like magic. I may have to take a swatch of this ink with me when I walk at lunch each day for sheer entertainment. ***NOTE: However, it IS essential to note that this ink is NOT for fountain pens. You want to set this ink aside for use with dip pens, brushes, etc. Do not put it in your fountain pens.
All Day Award: Wearingeul Peter Pan ink
The All Day Award goes to Wearingeul Peter Pan ink, a fantastic everyday ink choice. The writing shows up well on paper, and the ink flows nicely with no feathering or bleeding (on a quality fountain pen-friendly paper like Rhodia or Clairefontaine). It has an acceptable dry time of around 15 seconds and doesn’t have any shimmer or glistening aspects so that it will perform well in any size fountain pen nib. Peter Pan ink can go all day every day.
