Platinum has just announced the 5th of the Fuji Five Lakes Series, the limited edition #3776 Century Kawaguchi Fountain Pen. Earlier releases of the Platinum 3776 Fuji Five Lakes Series include the #3776 Motosu, the #3776 Shoji, #3776 Sai and #3776 Yamanaka. Just like the other pens in this series, each Kawaguchi Fountain Pen is numbered and only 2,500 will be pens available worldwide.
The Kawaguchi Fountain Pen was created with the image of Lake Kawaguchi, near Mount Fuji, waiting dawn. The slightly transparent “Dawn Blue” color cap and barrel is etched with a 3-D representation of ripples of a quiet stream. The pen is then finished with rhodium trim and a matching rhodium coated 14k gold nib in either fine, medium, or broad tip sizes. The pen is then packaged in it’s own exclusive gift box.
The Platinum 3776 series fountain pen was named after the height of Mount Fuji in meters, the highest peak in Japan. One of the unique features of the 3776 fountain pen is the “Slip & Seal” cap design that allows the pen to sit for extended periods of time without the ink drying out in the pen. The Kawaguchi fountain pen has a uniquely designed nut inside the “Slip & Seal” cap to honor Mount Fuji and expresses Mt. Fuji turning blue before dawn.
The Kawaguchi Fountain Pen retails for $270 is scheduled to be released in early July. If you are interested in the pen we are now taking pre-orders for the pen. Remember the pen is limited to only 2,500 pieces. Most of the earlier Fuji Five Lakes series pens are sold out and we expect the Kawaguchi pen to be very popular with the blue color and will not be available long.
