Lamy Pen Company

Introducing Lamy Pen Company

During 2014, Pen Chalet has introduced many new and exciting pen brands. Pen Chalet has become an authorized dealer of, including Montegrappa, Noodler’s Ink, Platinum, Tibaldi, Dalvey, Field Notes and Aston Leather. However, the most exciting brand to be added to our large array of fine writing instruments and accessories would have to be the Lamy Pen Company!

My guess is that if you rank at least a 25% pen addict on Pen Chalet’s pen addict test, then you know all about Lamy pen products and probably own a Lamy pen. Lamy Pen Company was founded in 1930 in Heidelberg, Germany and has been run as an independent family business since then. They are the absolute leader in German pen manufacturer, producing over 6 million units per year. Lamy produces very functional, yet worldwide distinguishable, and affordable fountain pens. German engineering goes into each of their products and inks.

The most recognizable Lamy pen probably is the Lamy Safari Fountain Pen. Its large, simplistic, functional design with its large clip makes it recognizable throughout the world. The Safari fountain pen retails for only $37 (Al-Star “aluminum” version for $47), in a variety fun colors including Pink, Neon Yellow, White, Shinny Black, Coral, Charcoal, Blue, Red, etc. makes them the best selling Lamy pen design. If you are a novice pen collector or novice fountain pen user, a Lamy Safari is an absolute must.

Lamy Pen Company has a number of innovative designs and technologies used in manufacturing its pens. The Lamy 2000 is the pen you probably get the most bank for your buck. A super smooth writing instrument that comes in black or brushed stainless steel with a 14K, Platinum plated hand polished nib, well known in the industry for being one of the most finely tuned nib on the market. Lamy makes the interesting and unique Dialog 3 Fountain pens and my personal favorite (although the Lamy 2000 is a very close second) the Lamy Studio Shiny Platinum PT (L69PT Studio), an amazingly beautiful, elegant writing instrument, which retails for $399.00.

Lamy Pen Company offers most of its pen lines in roller ball, ball point and mechanical pencil options. Additionally, nib sizes range from extra fine, fine, medium and broad, with a few options for calligraphy nib sizes.

Pen Chalet also offers all of Lamy Pen Company’s refills, cartridges, including Lamy’s innovative 50 ml ink bottles (in black, blue, blue black, green, red and turquoise), which comes with an attached roll of ink blotter paper, which allows you to clean and wipe down your pen after filling.

Bottom line is that you cannot go wrong no matter what Lamy pen you purchase, as each will be considered a fine German manufacture writing instrument that you will fall in love with and become your go to everyday writing instrument, until you purchase your second Lamy.

Pen Chalet offers all of its Lamy pen products at a normal everyday 20% off retail discounted price.
