Dee Charles Designs Pen Carrying Cases come in an assortment of unique colors. Also, each case comes with different color stitching choices to accent the leather or choose a neutral matching color stitch. We chose to review a Sunrise Blue Single Sleeve Pen Carrying Case. This sleeve comes in a striking tan leather with light blue stitching along the edges. As well, you will find the ingenious Dee Charles Designs logo stamped onto the bottom of the case. Each Dee Charles Carrying Case is shipped in it’s own durable box with the Dee Charles logo foiled on the lid.

Qualities

The Single Sleeve Pen Case measures in at 6 1/2 inches long. Since most pens measure to be less than 6 inches, this is the perfect length to fit most pens. Designed to be capable of housing your bigger pens as well, The Single Sleeve is 1 3/4 inches wide. While in comparison to the Aston Leather One Pen Slip Case, that’s an extra 1/4 inch. Also, the Dee Charles Designs Single Pen Sleeve is 3/16 of an inch thick, due to Dee Charles Designs’ commitment to only using the highest quality leather. That’s an entire 1/8 of an inch thicker than the Aston Single Sleeve. On top of that, Dee Charles Designs Single Pen Sleeves are made in America and costs only $19.80 USD for such amazing quality.

Performance

However, the important question is how it protects your pen. In short, your pens will be safe with a Carrying Case from Dee Charles Designs. We had one of our employees carry one of these cases with him over this last weekend, with an Aurora 88 Demonstrator fountain pen. He was amazed at the quality of the leather, and upon inspection on Monday, the pen showed no signs of wear.

I’m curious as to the type of leather used in this case. Is it full-grain leather? If so, I wonder if they have a veg tanned option

I don’t have a lot of experience with pen cases. The only one I own is a MontBlanc which is a hard case with a lid. It’s pretty safe, and I can carry 3 pens in it so, that’s fine for me.
