Visconti has just introduced a new version of the Homo Sapiens, the Visconti Homo Sapiens Dark Age pen. Just like all of the Visconti Home Sapiens fountain pens, The Dark Age is made from basaltic volcanic rock from Mount Etna in Italy. This unique material is virtually unbreakable and slightly hygroscopic so it absorbs moisture from your hand.
The new Visconti Homo Sapiens Dark Age Pen will be available as a mechanical pencil, ballpoint pen, or rollerball pen, or fountain pen. The Visconti Homo Sapiens Dark Age Fountain Pen will be available in both the Midi or the larger Maxi sizes. All of the Visconti Homo Sapiens Dark Age pens will be available the beginning in March.
Each Visconti Homo Sapiens Dark Age pen comes with stealthy black PVD trim and the fountain pen has a black 23k Palladium Dream Touch nib. The rest of the pen is the same as the original Home Sapiens. They still have the “Hood Safe Lock” cap which uses channels cut in the barrel and is spring loaded making it secure, tight and easy to use. You can easily remove the screw on cap with one hand. The fountain pen comes with the a piston style fill mechanism on the Midi size and a Visconti vacuum power filler system with the oversize Maxi and both use bottled fountain pen inks. The Visconti Homo Sapiens Dark Age pens also come with the traditional arch shape clip with the Visconti logo on both sides. This clip is spring loaded and opens easily wide enough to slip in any pocket.
Customize your Visconti Homo Sapiens Dark Age pens with the Visconti MyPen system. Add natural stones, medallions or initials to the final of the pen to make the pen unique and special.
We are excited about this new black color of the Visconti Home Sapiens. The Home Sapiens pens have been very popular and we expect the Dark Age to be as well. Leave us a comment and let us know what you think of the new Visconti Homo Sapiens Dark Age.
