The Benu Talisman Collection:
Before we dive into the new releases…you might need a little info about this particular pen collection. We’ve already seen several releases in the Talisman Collection (some regular and some limited edition). Each pen in this series features Benu’s colorful (and dare we say glitzy) flair, but it doesn’t stop there, each pen is inspired by an item or substance that at one point in history or legend was known for magical properties. Most are now recognized as talismans. On top pulling inspiration from recognized talismans, Benu actually included a little bit of each talisman right in the material used to make the pens! Two New Benu Talisman Fountain Pens Coming Summer 2022: Four Leaf Clover and Dream Bean
We can’t be more excited to meet the Benu Talisman Four Leaf Clover fountain pen and the Benu Dream Bean Talisman fountain pen in person. For now, we have pictures, and, of course, the story behind the Talismans that inspired these gorgeous pens!
A Closer Look at the Benu Dream Bean Talisman Fountain Pen:
This addition to the popular Benu Talisman pen collection is inspired by the African Dream Bean, a climbing vine native to southern Africa. The Dream Bean is probably most notorious for its ability to induce lucid dreams said to make it possible to communicate with the spirit world. Some African tribes also use the Dream Bean’s chocolate-colored seeds as amulets or good luck charms, stringing them together to create pieces of jewelry. Benu went one step further, and infused a small amount of Dream Bean into the resin of each pen.
A Closer Look at the Benu Four Leaf Clover Talisman Fountain Pen:
The inspiration for Benu’s Four Leaf Clover Talisman fountain pen is…the four-leaf clover! This delicate plant is found mostly in the Northern Hemisphere, but it’s known around the world for bringing good luck. A rare variation of the common three-leaf clover, it’s said if you stumble across a four-leaf clover you’ll be blessed with eternal good luck and prosperity. (Only 1 in 5,000 clovers have 4 petals instead of the more common 3). So you can see why finding a four-leaf clover in the wild would be something to celebrate! Luckily for all of you who will take one of these beauties home this summer, Benu infused four-leaf clover powder into the resin of each pen.
Benu Talisman: the Design and Specifications
The Benu Talisman is a medium-sized fountain pen (not available in rollerball or ballpoint). The pens have a threaded cap, and a stainless steel pen clip. The Benu Talisman can be posted (friction post), and is a cartridge converter fountain pen (compatible with international standard size ink cartridges and converters). Each of the Benu Talisman fountain pens are fitted with a stainless steel Schmidt #6 fountain pen nib, and they are available in Fine, Medium, or Broad (while supplies last!)
