The barrel and cap are made from high quality black and green resin with gold plated clip and rings looking comparatively nearly identical to their 60 year old parent pen. The Pelikan Green-Black M120 fountain pen shares the retro touches with its parent model including the Pelikan piston fountain pen technology, but it also has a little something special to truly make it a Special Edition. The stainless steel, gold-plated nib has been engraved with a reinterpreted curlicue found on a 1889 Pelikan price list as shown below to the right. This engraved nib finishes off the pen nicely.

It is a beautiful pen. Never gave it much thought but collecting such pens would be an interesting hobby. This 1955 model reminds me of the ones my father had in the house. Perhaps I might take the time to look in dad’s old desk and see what is still in there. Is there any value to original pens?
