Keyno 014 Cherishment Ink Review: Pretty in Pink

The Keyno 014 Cherishment ink review is here, and this week’s featured ink is giving us a pink that is far more practical, readable, and lovable than the average delicate swatch might suggest. Keyno Stay.tionery 014 Cherishment fountain pen ink is a cool-toned pink with a slightly violet-leaning personality, created to pair beautifully with the Keyno No.014 Cherishment fountain pen.

In our hands-on test, Cherishment surprised us in all the best ways. It looked soft and romantic in the swatch area, but once we started writing, the ink showed up darker and more legible than expected on white Rhodia lined paper. Add in a quick dry time, no feathering, no bleed through, and better-than-expected water resistance, and suddenly this pretty pink ink becomes a lot more than just a cute matching accessory.

Meet the Ink Maker

Keyno.Stationery arrived with a concept that feels tailor-made for writers who like their desk supplies with a little atmosphere. The brand’s first release was inspired by the idea of “Hotel Keyno Stay,” themed around a hotel visit, complete with a key number and room-card style concept.

No.014 Cherishment was this much-anticipated and imaginative debut, and the ink of the same name was designed to coordinate with the No.014 Cherishment fountain pen. The result is a fountain pen ink that feels thoughtful, collectible, and visually tied to the overall release. For anyone who loves when a pen and ink pairing actually feels intentional, this one makes sense immediately. Explore Keyno Stay.tionery to find out why this brand’s pens and inks are selling out so quickly.

Get to Know the Ink Series: Keyno Inks

Keyno Stay.tionery inks are packaged in a way that leans into the hotel-stay theme. Rather than a plain bottle tossed into a simple box, 014 Cherishment arrives with themed outer packaging, a distinctive bottle shape*, a cloth drawstring dust cover bag, and a mini pipette.

The presentation makes the ink feel like part of the full Keyno experience instead of just a refill bottle. The packaging is decorative, but it is also practical. The pipette helps with ink access, the wide bottle opening makes filling easier, and the sturdy bottle sits confidently on the table during use. We always appreciate packaging that looks cute on the desk but still understands the assignment.

*Fans of Dominant Industry will immediately recognize the brand’s distinctive ink drop shaped bottle, and thoughtful + functional packaging. The bottle and packaging match the inks you already love from Dominant Industry because Keyno pens and inks are a brand the Dominant Industry created to brand their new fountain pen product line.

Keyno 014 Cherishment Ink Review: This Week’s Featured Ink

This week’s featured ink is Keyno Stay.tionery 014 Cherishment fountain pen ink is a cool-toned rose pink with subtle violet undertones. It appears softer and lighter where the ink is spread thin, but deepens into a darker berry-rose pink when layered or used for writing.

That readability is one of the biggest surprises from this review. Pink inks can be tricky because some are beautiful in a swatch but too pale for everyday writing. Cherishment avoids that problem. It still has the charm and tenderness you want from your pink fountain pen inks, but it writes dark enough to be useful on white paper.

It also matches the theme and color story of the Keyno 014 Cherishment fountain pen beautifully. If you like coordinated pen-and-ink combinations, this is an obvious pairing.

For this week’s ink review, we tested Keyno 014 Cherishment fountain pen ink using one of the J. Herbin glass dip pens and Rhodia lined paper. The J. Herbin glass dip pen writes similarly to a medium nib, so it gives a good sense of how the ink may appear in a moderately wet fountain pen setup.

Here’s the quick test summary:

Test Result
Pen used J. Herbin glass dip pen
Paper used Rhodia lined paper
Dry time Around 5 seconds
Bleed through None observed
Feathering None observed
1-dip test Completed all lines with ink left over
Water test Light running at top, minimal distortion overall
Special properties Shading visible, darker hue where layered

Overall, Cherishment performed especially well for a pink ink. It dried quickly, behaved cleanly on fountain pen friendly Rhodia paper, and remained readable even after the water test.

Keyno 014 Cherishment Ink Bottle and Packaging

The Keyno 014 Cherishment ink bottle and packaging are some of the most memorable parts of this release. The outer box features the 014 Cherishment theme, including the hotel-inspired design elements that connect the ink to the larger Keyno Stay.tionery concept.

Inside the box, the ink arrives in a drop-shaped glass bottle*. The bottle feels sturdy on the table, which is important when you’re working with bottled fountain pen ink. The opening is also wide enough to make ink withdrawal easier, whether you’re using a fountain pen, syringe, converter, or dip pen.

The packaging also includes a mini pipette, which is a fantastic little bonus for anyone who likes swatching inks, filling smaller reservoirs, or keeping ink transfer a little cleaner. The cloth drawstring dust cover bag adds another thoughtful detail and makes the ink feel more collectible.

This is the kind of packaging that makes the unboxing feel special without sacrificing usefulness. Pretty and practical? We love to see it.

*Again, Keyno was created by Dominant Industry, so you’ll recognize the stamp of Dominant Industry on the bottles and packaging for the Keyno fountain pen inks.

Other Products Used During This Keyno 014 Cherishment Ink Review

During this Keyno 014 Cherishment ink review, we used:

  1. J. Herbin glass dip pen
  2. Rhodia lined paper
  3. Cotton swab for layered swatch testing
  4. Water for the water resistance test

The Rhodia paper gave us a clean view of the ink’s behavior, especially for feathering, bleeding, shading, and dry time. Since Rhodia is fountain pen friendly, it allowed Keyno’s Cherishment fountain pen ink to show its color and performance without being overly punished by absorbent paper.

1-Dip Test

The 1-dip test was a win for Cherishment. After one dip with the J. Herbin glass dip pen, the ink was able to write all the lines on the paper with plenty of ink still left on the pen.

Keyno 014 Cherishment ink 1-dip test writing sample

The 1-dip test showed strong ink flow with plenty of ink left after multiple writing lines.

That tells us the ink flows well from the glass dip pen and has enough saturation to keep the lines visible across a long writing sample. It also means this is not one of those pink inks that disappears after the first few words. The color remained visible, and the writing sample showed a pleasant range from lighter strokes to darker, more saturated areas.

For writers who enjoy journaling, letter writing, creative notes, or color-coded planner entries, that strong 1-dip performance is a good sign.

Dry Time: How Fast Did Keyno 014 Cherishment Ink Dry?

Keyno 014 Cherishment dried in around 5 seconds on Rhodia lined paper during our test.

Keyno 014 Cherishment pink ink swatch and dry time test on Rhodia paper

Keyno 014 Cherishment showed a quick dry time of around 5 seconds in our Rhodia paper test.

That is a very good dry time, especially for an ink that still has enough depth to be readable. Many fountain pen users love colorful inks but hesitate when dry times get too long, especially if they are left-handed, taking quick notes, or writing in a notebook they want to close shortly after finishing a page.

Cherishment gives you the fun of a unique pink shade without demanding a long wait. In our test, it was dry quickly enough to feel practical for regular writing.

As always, dry time can vary depending on the pen, nib size, paper, and how wet your writing setup is. A broader or wetter nib may increase dry time, while a finer or drier nib may dry even faster.

Water Test: Is Keyno 014 Cherishment Water Resistant?

The water test results were better than expected. At the top of the water test, the ink did run, but because Cherishment is a lighter pink shade, the running did not appear extremely strong or visually overwhelming. At the bottom of the water test, there was very little running or fading.

Keyno 014 Cherishment ink water test showing minimal line distortion and pink ink fading

Keyno 014 Cherishment showed some pink ink running but minimal line distortion during the water test.

Line distortion was minimal, although some line fading was present. The writing did not remain perfectly untouched, so we would not call this a fully waterproof ink. However, it showed a fair amount of water resistance, especially for a pink fountain pen ink.

For everyday writing, that matters. If a few drops of water hit your notes, Cherishment gives you a decent chance of still reading what you wrote. It is not the ink we would choose for addressing envelopes in a monsoon, but for regular notebook use, it handled water exposure respectably.

Special Properties: Shading and Color Variation

Cherishment showed attractive shading, especially in the cotton swab tests and areas where the ink was layered. The color shifts from a softer pink to a darker, more saturated pink with hints of violet depth. That layered effect gives the ink more personality than a flat pastel pink.

In writing, the shading is more subtle than dramatic, but it is still noticeable. The ink can appear lighter in quicker or drier strokes and darker where the line slows down or more ink pools. The cotton swab test showed the darker hue most clearly, especially where multiple passes of ink layered together.

Keyno 014 Cherishment cotton swab test showing darker layered pink shading

The cotton swab test showed Cherishment’s darker pink tone when the ink was layered.

There’s no shimmer, and this does not appear to be a sheening ink in our test. Its special charm comes from the color itself: a unique, cool-toned pink that looks romantic in a swatch but remains surprisingly usable in writing.

Feathering or Bleeding

  • We saw no feathering on Rhodia lined paper.
  • We also saw no ink bleed through on Rhodia paper.

That clean behavior makes Cherishment easy to recommend for fountain pen friendly papers. The lines stayed tidy, and the writing sample remained crisp. Since pink inks can sometimes feel more decorative than dependable, it was nice to see Cherishment behave so well during the test.

As always, more absorbent papers may produce different results. On standard copy paper, budget notebooks, or highly absorbent stationery, feathering and show through may be more likely. But on Rhodia, Cherishment was well behaved.

Final Thoughts on Keyno 014 Cherishment Ink

Keyno 014 Cherishment fountain pen ink is a great-looking pink ink that surprised us with how readable and practical it turned out to be. The swatch gives a softer impression, but the written line is darker, more visible, and easier to use on white paper than expected.

The ink dried quickly at around 5 seconds, showed no feathering or bleed through on Rhodia paper, and performed fairly well in the water test. It also offers subtle shading and richer color where layered, giving it more dimension than a simple pastel pink.

The packaging is another major highlight. Between the themed box, sturdy drop-shaped glass bottle, wide opening, mini pipette, and cloth drawstring dust cover bag, the whole presentation feels thoughtful and collectible. It is especially appealing for anyone pairing the ink with the Keyno 014 Cherishment fountain pen.

If you are looking for a pink fountain pen ink that is pretty but still readable, soft but not too faint, and charming without being impractical, Keyno 014 Cherishment is absolutely worth a closer look.
