Customer Reviews

I have been using this case for a few months now and I like it. Good quality and reasonable price. The elastic hasn't stretched out so that's a good thing. My pens have no scratches. My largest pen is the Conklin All American and it fits comfortably.

Form & function in this beautiful pen. Love the fine nib as it writes crisp and clean. Great price for such a fine pen.

The quantity vs. price makes this a great buy. This ink features nice shading, but unlike some of the other Montverde "Emotion" bottled inks, I don't think the "Love Red" is a lubricating ink like the "Peach Blue".

BUY IT!!! BUY IT NOW!!!
Seriously, this pen, for the money, is amazing! I love everything about it...the balance, the weight, the beauty of the way it lays down ink...everything about this pen makes it my favorite daily use instrument.

I wanted a dark green fountain pen ink to put in a $2 green Chinese pen I bought. Gave this a try.
Performed flawlessly. Awesome color. Very fast drying (important for me - lefty).
Awesome price.
Could not be happier.

I like this pen and I definitely like the nib...it's my first experience with a stub... and I absolutely love the variation given to my pen stroke!!
The magnetic catch of the cap, either when closing the pen or capping to write, is solid...much more so than most other pens with this type of closure. The only drawback...if a person would even consider it a drawback...is the weight of the pen. I thought the thing was darn heavy! How heavy? I'm not looking up the grams, but without doing a side by side...this thing is heavier than my Montblanc 149.

A great pen for the price. I usually stick with gold nibs, but this steel nib even has enough flex to give some nice line variation. A bit scratchy so you feel the paper. And it is really striking looking.

I'm a little skeptical about Monteverde and Conklin, both of which are owned by Yafa. My first thought when unboxing the pen was "this doesn't look great." The pen is shiny, but it does not look like an expensive pen (of course, it's not an expensive pen). The patterns don't match up between the barrel and the cap, or between the barrel and the section. The nib looks nice, but not great.
I inked up the pen and was concerned about how scratchy the nib felt. However, I like the size of the pen in my hand (it is a large pen).
I have used almost a whole converter's worth of Diamine Espresso. The nib feels smoother just from daily writing.
In fact, I have adopted this pen as a daily writer because it feels so good in my hand.
So, from going from initial disappointment (or at least skepticism), I can give this pen a big thumb's up. It feels very nice in my hand, and the nib continues to become more well-behaved.

I would never consider Monteverde inks in the past because I haven;'t liked their pens, but recently I broke down and got three bottles. They flow well, shade decently, and are priced very well. I'll be picking up more in the future.

Not many international fit cartridges come in long. Other than Monteverdi I only know of the Pelikan Edelstein line and these are less expensive.

A nice standard international converter. It’s not the highest quality I’ve used, but it’s a good balance of price and quality. The threads fit Monteverde pens that are threaded, but this should fit most standard international cartridge converter pens without using the threads.
