I've never purchased a 'mystery box' before, so I was not sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised at the contents. A lovely Delta pen (which I probably would never have purchased on my own) and two very nice inks (also, not something I would have considered). Both the olive grove ink and the Gila Monster ink 'match' the pen's design. I'm quite happy with my "surprise" package.

Very handy item to own, especially for looking at markings on a pen. It does take a little practice to get the lens in the right place and the right distance from the nib. Very fair price.

I love the pen! I had hoped to get this actual set of pen and ink, but it just wasn’t the right time. The Mystery Box was a splurge, and it is just so much fun. All the items will be used and fully enjoyed. I appreciate Pen Chalet very much.

Pen Chalet mystery boxes are great and always fun! I was surprisingly shocked at the quality of the pen I received--it was fantastic gold nib!!! Pen Chalet also puts more variety and surprises into their boxes than other companies. The little touches communicate that this vendor appreciates its customers. Who knew that receiving my "ink oracle" would be so entertaining?

I found this nib grip to be very helpful when swapping out nibs. I was afraid I would damage the nib by applying too much pressure and this item prevented that from happening. Simple device, but very useful.

I just got my mystery box today and it is absolutely beautiful. While the pen is gorgeous and one I don’t have, I think my favorite thing in the box is the “raining cats and dogs” pen rest. I’m a MASSIVE dog lover and this made me literally giggle when I unwrapped it.

The box contained my first Nahvalur/ Narwal pen, an original demonstrator version. I liked it so much that I bought more Nahvalur fountain pens! Wasn’t sure at first about the Nahvalur Orchid ink, but after using it for a while, I decided I like it too. The price to value ratio was great, and I received products that I would not have otherwise considered. Thanks for introducing me to some great products!

It is always a bit hard to write a review for a "blind box" item as it has little to no confirmation of the quality of future boxes. But from the one I got, I was quite happy, I did felt a tinsy bit "cheated" when the sneak peak indicated that the fountain pen had a "gold nib". And while it is mostly true, it was a gold plated nib. Even with that, I am not disappointed. I wanted a pen from the brand and I got one at a slightly cheaper price than MSRP, all the rest of the box content were freebies that came with the pen. At least that's how I see it. As far as I am personally concerned, I will indulge myself in these mystery boxes in the future, they are fun and it is always fun to find a pen or item that you were always curious about but never buy yourself.

Amazing product, I always use distilled water to clean my pens but I got a bottle of this a while back. When one of my pens started to not write well and not flow, I decided to try the pen flush. It cleaned it right out and got a lot of ink that water alone had not. Pen writes perfectly again.
