New for 2020, the Visconti Blue Fog fountain pen has pale grey swirls in a blue resin background. Finished with silver color trim and matching stainless steel nib. The pen has a magnetic closure cap system and also allows the famous Visconti "My Pen System" for personalization. The unique clip for Visconti reveals the origin of the brand, taking inspiration from the Ponte Vecchio Bride in Florence, Italy. Each Visconti Blue Fog fountain pen uses a cartridge converter filling system. The Visconti Rembrandt fountain pens are compatible with standard international size ink converters and ink cartridges.

And, of course, we have the Visconti Rembrandt Blue Fog fountain pen. The Blue Fog version of the Rembrandt has a dark blue resin with gray and black swirls mixed in, silvered-colored trim on both the end of the cap and a small medallion at the end of the barrel. On top of the cap is the Visconti logo. There is also a Visconti logo on both sides of the clip that has an arched shape design. It is spring-loaded, so it's easy to open. Nice large band at the center of the pen, which is at the bottom of the cap. It's engraved with "Visconti" and "Made in Italy."
The cap is a magnetic catch, so it will pull off. It has a bit of tension to do that. It will post on the end of the barrel of the pen with just a friction fit. And then, it has a silver-colored steel section to match the rest of the trim on the pen, with a stainless steel nib to match as well.
It is a cartridge converter style pen, so the section will unscrew from the barrel of the pen. And Visconti includes an ink converter for use of bottled inks. It will also accept a standard international ink cartridge if you want to use cartridges as well.

This pen was returned. It is a sorry excuse for the Visconti brand. Silver Colored is the new name for PLASTIC. The nub ends fell off, the nib was scratchy and skipped more than it flowed the ink. For a pen that is almost $200 retail it is an embarrassment to the company. If you can't manufacture quality - then don't!

I could not be more pleased with my choice. For the price this pen is far superior. It is the smoothest writing and overall design is wonderful. I would not hesitate to buy as a gift or another Visconti fountain pen for personal use. This is now my go to pen. Quality and value is true to the Italian craftsmanship.
