Visconti's vision is truly revolutionary with the materials and components they use such as volcanic lava. First introduced in 2010, Visconti created a collection of fine writing instruments using basaltic lava from Mount Etna. The lava is mixed with a patented resin formula creating a virtually unbreakable material. Not only is it unique but both beautiful and function-able.
Visconti has also worked with artist Claudio Mazzi who paints objects for private collectors and large companies such as Maserati, Ducati and Ferrari. Mazzi has created a number of limited edition pieces that are truly remarkable.

Wow! The pictures don't do justice to this stylish and classy product from Visconti. I bought the Blue colorway, and the ink is beautiful and well-behaved. I had never used Visconti ink before, and I am suitably impressed. What really stunned me is the incredible inkwell bottle. It's well designed with a wide bottom that discourages spillage, and a generous mouth that makes it easy to dip my pen for refilling. I definitely want to try the other colors, and I'll be picking them up at Pen Chalet where they're an incredible value, especially when on sale.

This Homo Sapiens Earth Origins-Aether fountain pen is simply gorgeous. I could simply sit and look at the barrel all day long. I also appreciate its weight. It is heavy enough to feel substantial in your hand but not too heavy. The nib is responsive to pressure and writes smoothly. The power filler double tank is easy to fill. I have not had the pen long enough to try and fill it with the power filler system. Overall, a delightful fountain pen.

The Visconti quality is evident . It is a real pleasure to write with it. I got the Zeus and I'm slightly disappointed with the color. It being mostly dark blue . However the gold trim makes up for that . A pleasure to write with !

Crystal Dream... my dream pen. Symmetry, style, function, beauty. I love this pen. I do wish it was a magnetic cap and post but other than that, it is amazing! Love the lava rock, the large window, and dual reservoir. It holds four times more ink than most fountain pens and is airplane safe to hold ink. The large window looks much better when ink is held and the effect is wonderful. Please make more and consider a magnetic cap!
