These racks are useful, but so horribly difficult to assemble. It took three different people to get them properly put together. Not ideal. Nice storage, however. I get that they need to shipped flat, but offering them pre-assembled would be a great option worth an added fee for some customers.

If you enjoy collecting ink samples, these vial racks are invaluable. A little tricky to assemble the first time (videos are online, however, to walk you through the process), but once you have the hang of it, they go together quickly and easily. The racks will hold most vials (some I’ve receive from other vendors don’t fit), and are a great way to organize your ink samples. I usually place a round label on the lid of the vial and swab the ink over it so I can easily see the color. The racks can fit in a drawer or can be stacked — in other words, they’re very flexible in terms of storage.

Useful and surprisingly attractive! I expect it to last a long while. (Hint: assemble the middle layer first, then the bottom and top.)

It's a test tube rack. I use them all the time at work. I wouldn't want lucite racks at work because they are brittle, but it's a good home ink vial rack. It's as close to pretty as you can get for a test tube rack, I think. And it's definitely better than the Ziploc bag that was holding all my samples until I bought this.

One note: the sample vials sit pretty snugly in the holders. If you have a label that's loose, you might need to fix that before it fits comfortable in the hole.

Since I have "2 left hands" I had a bit troubke assembling it but I put a tiny bit of my skin hands oil and zipzap! Finally all my ink sample bottles got organized. I like it is not heavy even with all my inks in it! Very hard to find the exact size of the holes to fit vial bottles. Fast, secure, well packed delivery from Pen Chalet!
