It does exactly what you think it does. It could be slightly stronger as the plastic bends a bit if you try to lift up the rack with one hand, but for the price you can’t go wrong with this! It’s super convenient to have all your ink samples organized in one place rather than jumbled in a box. I’ll be buying another one of these when I fill up the first one.

I think this is actually a test tube holder, but it works well as a rack for ink samples. Not only does it help to organize your samples, but it can be used to hold the sample bottle when filling a pen, preventing major spills.
