About the Pen Chalet 30X Pen Loupe
The 30X Pen Loupe is a great way to tune and inspect your pen and nib. The loupe has a compact body with an extendable lens to protect it when not in use. The Pen Loupe also has an LED light to allow you to see it, batteries included.
Instructions:
To activate the light:
Pull out the magnifier so that the entire lense is showing, but the light is not on. If the light is required, then pull the magnifying glass all the way out. The light will then turn on automatically.
To change the 3 LR 1130 Batteries:
Pull up on the side to separate the battery compartment from the magnifying glass. Then remove the old batteries and replace them with the new batteries - you will need to make sure to match the mark of the batteries to put them in correctly.

I just started using this. I wear glasses, and found using the loupe with my glasses didn't work well. Since the loupe is close to my eye anyway, I find it works better without my glasses. I have found all sorts of goodies on my nibs! Pieces of lint, and tiny balls of colored paper. A very useful item. I also use it when I drop stitches in my knitting. I know, that's not what its intended for, but its helpful!

This little pen loupe is just what I needed. It’s a little cheap feeling but it was not expensive so I think it’s appropriate to the price. It works great and is enough magnification that it allows me to see the pen nibs well. The light is a definite bonus. I accidentally dropped into my cup of hot chocolate (don’t ask) and I was able to take it apart and dry out the inside. When I put it back together it worked. I was very surprised and pleased. For the price of this item I can highly recommend it

I had a 10x unlit loop for several years, and moving to a 30x has been great. It has a satisfying snap when opened and closed. The light is VERY bright; so bright, in fact, that I prefer to use it without it.
