The J Herbin bottled ink fountain pen ink is non toxic and pH neutral using all natural dyes. This water based fountain ink flows smoothly and drys fast. The J Herbin bottled ink is known as "D bottle" pen inks. The "D" refers to the old French unit of measure “la Demi Courtine”.
J Herbin is the oldest name in fountain pen inks in the world. Each bottle of J Herbin 30 ml bottled fountain ink comes elegantly labeled and has a pen rest.

A nice dark pink, almost red. The color is pretty consistent when you write, some other J. Herbin inks have noticable light and dark parts to your letters, not the case with this color.

Herbin "Lie de Thé" ink is a beautiful light golden brown with a hint of pearlescent sheen -- very understated. I was looking for an "antique dark yellow" and this comes very close (more "tea colored," as the name says). A nice ink that I will purchase again.
