Such a beautiful color, but it feathers on some papers and doesn't work very well in some of my flex-nib pens after a little while. I wind up dipping the pens to avoid railroading. Always test first with this one. When the paper and pen are right, it's lovely. I find I really enjoy using Herbin inks with a brush (and water, if I'm shading or making art).

Love,love,love Herbin inks. The Violette does not disappoint. I use it for letter writing. The ink flows through feeder easily. Strongly encourage others to try this brand. I fell in love with it when I purchased my first Recife fountain pen in France some years ago.

I thought lie de the couldn’t have a close competition, but vert de gris is a lovely muted color that I had to buy a larger supply of. J. herbin inks have yet to disappoint me with their flow and options for color.

The “Vert de Gris” is basically a dead ringer for Diamine Teal. “Bleu de Profondeurs” is a blue/black - rich color. Both good flow.

This is a unique purple fountain pen ink. It leans a little toward a cool blue/violet. It's really pretty to write with.
