About the Wancher True Ebonite Dream
The cap and barrel of Wancher True Ebonite Dream fountain pen have been crafted from solid bars of ebonite. The simplistic design and ebonite material result in a pen that is both beautiful and durable.
Each Wancher True Ebonite Dream fountain pen has been fitted with a two-tone stainless steel German nib. The cap has been designed with an interior cap that is spring loaded to keep the nib air tight and the ink fresh. The pen comes in a wood gift box and a Kimono wrap pen case. Also included is a pack of ink cartridges and an ink converter. Choose from either matte or glossy silk finishes. Exclusive to the US market from Pen Chalet.

This is the matte version of the Wancher True Ebonite Dream Pen. It has a basic cigar shape pen with no clip. The cap is threaded and unscrews. The cap won't post, it's not really made for that. It is a large oversized pen so you don't really need it posted.
This happens to be the stainless steel nib on the pen, two-tone nib with a black feed. There are different options for the nib, including gold nib options and Ebonite feeds as well.
The pen unscrews at the section so you can fill the pen with ink. You can either use the converter that is included for bottled inks or if you want to use a cartridge,that is an option as well. This is the Wancher True Ebonite Dream Pen. It comes in a large bamboo wood box that has Japanese writing with the Wancher logo and a picture of Mount Fuji on the top of the box lid. This box lid lifts off and inside is a soft felt bed, information about Wancher and of course, we have the Wancher True Ebonite Fountain Pen. After months of use all I want to know is where these went ? Nice product, great nib, etc., but ghost-like. This is a fine instrument - trust me. Diameter may be better suited to the male hand.

I purchased the gloss black version of this pen, but the matte black was equally as appealing. The pen is gorgeous both in looks and feel. The nib is a treat to write with; it’s a fine with some feedback, but not at all unpleasant. I prefer to use my pens posted, but this one is large enough to be comfortable without, which is a good thing as the cap does not post. The cap is twist-off with a spring loaded seal, which keeps the nib wet for (very) long periods. I haven’t had it dry out despite long periods between uses. It’s a beautiful pen. Kudos to Wancher for producing such a functional work of art.

This nib is smooth! Exactly what I expected from a fine steel JoWo nib. I love the size of the pen, and most of all the presentation box. Good price compared to everyone else out there. This is kind of a rare pen to buy. Looking forward to using it in my future writing shed!

Wonderful, very glad I bought it. My best pen. Two small issues: I still wish the pen had a clip on it. My feelings about that issue are mixed: the clip would help me be assured that it won't drop off wherever I'm carrying it; but a clip would probably detract from the pen's beauty, which was a main reason I wanted to acquire one. Also I'm not sure the cap is meant to be posted. I think I remember your review including statements that lead me to think that the cap is not really meant. The precariousness of th cap when posted, means that the way I usually write without it posted, a distinct situation for losing the cap. Minor matters compared to the striking appearance and the high quality of the pen's mechanicsI The Wancher True Ebonite Dream is my most special pen.

Ebonite lends a solid feel to this wonderful instrument, and the pictures don't do it justice. Cap unscrews with beautiful big threads, and there is a seal that keeps the ink everready. Good converter. Large diameter makes for controlled writing on this unpostable black beauty. I have a lot of pens, and this one is a favorite. Not overpriced for this level of unique craftsmanship.

This pen is wonderful. It looks great, feels great in the hand. It is a wonderful pen, especially for the price. I purchased a medium nib and it just writes great, runs smoothly across the page. After all, this is what makes a fountain pen worth the purchase. Writing quality and looks, looks without writing quality is a waste, band writing quality without looks is bad taste.
