Wancher Pens

This is one of the best pens of my collection of near 40. It is in fact a dream to watch and to write with it. Respect Pen Chalet service, it is the best!

I purchased the gloss black version of this pen, but the matte black was equally as appealing. The pen is gorgeous both in looks and feel. The nib is a treat to write with; it’s a fine with some feedback, but not at all unpleasant. I prefer to use my pens posted, but this one is large enough to be comfortable without, which is a good thing as the cap does not post. The cap is twist-off with a spring loaded seal, which keeps the nib wet for (very) long periods. I haven’t had it dry out despite long periods between uses. It’s a beautiful pen. Kudos to Wancher for producing such a functional work of art.

I like Wancher for their attention to detail with their pens. I like this pen very much with the Wancher quality and at an affordable price!
I was surprised the case had what feels like Saran Wrap although much sturdier as the long part of the lid and bottom.

The Wancher Crystal Topaz pen is a large pen that holds a whole lot of ink, so you’d better like the color you choose as it’s going to be with you for a while. The fine nib is decent and it lays down a fairly dry line, but that may just be mine. I have other Wancher pens that are a bit wetter. The pen is comfortable for large hands and the cap does post (personal preference). The pen is well balanced even when posted, and the section is big enough to not tire out one’s hands when writing for long periods (which because of the ink capacity is kind of a requirement). The only drawback is that when I stored the pen in a carrying case, the ink didn’t stay put. That was a bummer, but I’m going to blame user error on that as it was subjected to some temperature variations and not an insubstantial amount of movement. If you like large demonstrator pens, this is a good one.

This nib is smooth! Exactly what I expected from a fine steel JoWo nib. I love the size of the pen, and most of all the presentation box. Good price compared to everyone else out there. This is kind of a rare pen to buy. Looking forward to using it in my future writing shed!

Ordered the Earth theme pen, and loving it. The pen is large and just the right weight, not too light nor heavy. The material in the cellulose barrel is deep and shimmering, giving a three dimensional look. It's gorgeous. I especially like how the cap posts, as it threads onto the back of the barrel. No slippage.
The nib is well tuned out of the box and performs wonderfully. It's a bit wet, which is to be expected for a German medium steel nib.
All in all, it's a great pen.

Wonderful, very glad I bought it. My best pen. Two small issues: I still wish the pen had a clip on it. My feelings about that issue are mixed: the clip would help me be assured that it won't drop off wherever I'm carrying it; but a clip would probably detract from the pen's beauty, which was a main reason I wanted to acquire one. Also I'm not sure the cap is meant to be posted. I think I remember your review including statements that lead me to think that the cap is not really meant. The precariousness of th cap when posted, means that the way I usually write without it posted, a distinct situation for losing the cap. Minor matters compared to the striking appearance and the high quality of the pen's mechanicsI The Wancher True Ebonite Dream is my most special pen.

Beautiful pen that would pass for one costing $3-400. So many beautiful details - cap screws to post, for those wanting extra heft. This is my second WANCHER, and these are top-rank, especially for the price. This one has an XF, which I use for lettering, and it is perfect for that. You will love these pens.

Ebonite lends a solid feel to this wonderful instrument, and the pictures don't do it justice. Cap unscrews with beautiful big threads, and there is a seal that keeps the ink everready. Good converter. Large diameter makes for controlled writing on this unpostable black beauty. I have a lot of pens, and this one is a favorite. Not overpriced for this level of unique craftsmanship.

This pen is wonderful. It looks great, feels great in the hand. It is a wonderful pen, especially for the price. I purchased a medium nib and it just writes great, runs smoothly across the page. After all, this is what makes a fountain pen worth the purchase. Writing quality and looks, looks without writing quality is a waste, band writing quality without looks is bad taste.
