About the Lamy Lx
The limited edition Lamy Lx fountain pen is made from feather light anodized aluminum. The pen comes with a large chrome color spring metal clip that matches the color of the pen. The section is a smoky transparent ergonomic grip and comes with a black color stainless steel nib. Each Lamy Lx fountain pen comes in a matching aluminum case.

Lamy Lx Video Script
This is the Lamy LX fountain pen. It comes in a metal tube with a rubber band between the center of the tube. It has the Lamy logo on both sides of that rubber engraved into it. The cap on the case comes off and the pen slides out. Included with the pen is the Lamy LX warranty use and care guide for the pen and of course we have the Lamy LX fountain pen.This is an all metal cap and barrel, has a spring loaded matching colored clip and on the top of the cap a little screw head in the top that matches the pen in the same color matching at the bottom of the pen. At the bottom of the barrel the Lamy logo is engraved. There's a small ink viewing window and it has flat sides on the barrel of the pen. The cap, it snaps off. It can be posted and it has a plastic clear, kind of a smoke color grip section that's ergonomic grip. Little channels there for your hands. I really like the way that that works.
And then it comes with a stainless steel nib with the Lamy logo engraved and you can see the feed on the back side of the pen. To change the ink on the pen you unscrew the section from the barrel of the pen and included with the pen is a Lamy ink cartridge. You would have to remove this small ring here, this cardboard ring, when you use the the pen so that cartridge would be pushed all the way into the pen and into the section. You can also add a Lamy LZ24 ink converter if you wanna use bottled inks, but that's not included with the pen.

I should have known that this pen would be scratchy. Out of the several Lamy pens I have purchased at a variety of price levels, only one had a good nib. The medium nib on this Lamy LX is scratchy, particularly on the downward, upward, downward-left, and upward-right strokes. I thought since this pen is a couple steps up from the Safari and supposedly has a different nib that it might be better. It's not. This will be my last Lamy purchase ever.

Obviously, this is an upgrade on the Safari. I think it is worth the extra $s. It just looks and feels classier.

Absolutely delightful to use, smoother than the standard nib on Safaris and Al-Stars. It feels premium and looks very nice. I would have zero problem buying another one of these over an Al-Star.

Am enjoying using my LX. The fine nib replacement is writing smooth and just the right line width. I did misread the color thinking it was maroon color. However it is a very good pen and the color is attractive.

This is my first fountain pen in over 40 years and I have been shocked at how good a product this is. I originally was looking at the Safari Al-Star but saw this on sale for virtually the same price. It is an excellent all-round product and has not disappointed. I find myself looking for excuses to write something in a notebook somewhere all the time. It feels wonderful in hand, writes like a dream and is easy-peasy to hold with the Lamy 3-sided molded holding area. I purchased an extra nib thinking the fine would be too fine, but I was wrong - it matches perfectly with my handwriting - which isn't admittedly the best, but with this pen in hand, I am seeing improvements. Great product and great service.
