The Kaweco Student fountain pen is made from polished injection-moulded acrylic with brass metal parts that are chrome plated. The Kaweco Student fountain pen comes with a high quality Kaweco feed and a stainless steel iridium tipped nib and accepts standard universal cartridges or converters.

The box lid has a hinge top that opens up, and inside we have the Kaweco Student Fountain Pen. This is the transparent blue version of the pen which comes with a demonstrator style cap and barrel. Both the cap and the barrel on the Kaweco Student are made with an injection molded resin. It also has all metal components in the rings and the tip of the pen.
You can see on the top of the cap of the Kaweco Student is the Kaweco logo. And then on the clip of the pen, once again, is the Kaweco logo which is engraved with some other etchings on the bottom of the clip. On that cap on the barrel of the pen is the Kaweco logo and Germany on the backside of the ring. Also on the back of the cap the top is Kaweco Student Germany printed. The cap on the pen is threaded and unscrews. Since this is a metal component pen, the grip section is also metal which gives the pen a nice balance that I like. It's kind of weighted towards the front of the pen. You can also see that stainless steel Kaweco logo and the etchings on the nib. On the back side of the nib you can see the you can see the feed. Once again, there's a Kaweco logo there on the backside of the feed.
Since this is a cartridge converter style pen you can unscrew that grip section from the barrel and included with the pen is this spacer to show you that you can keep an ink cartridge as well as an additional ink cartridge you're not using in the pen. This is an ink cartridge that's included. It's a standard universal ink cartridge. One think I forgot to mention is this pen can be posted with the cap, makes it fairly long. I prefer writing without it posted, but you can do it either way.

This is the Kaweco Student Fountain Pen. The pen comes in a tin box with the Kaweco logos on the top of the box lid. It also has "License to Write", "Germany" and "Since 1883" logos and a pen on top of the box lid. They are actually raised off the top of the box.The box lid has a hinge top that opens up, and inside we have the Kaweco Student Fountain Pen. Don't let the name "Student" fool you into thinking that this is somehow a lesser pen. I have several in the series titled for musical decades, and every one is a winner. I use a fine nib, and these pens write every time, smoothly and reliably. Students are lightweight, comfortable, and well balanced (I don't post the cap). Looking forward to more additions to the series.
