This is not the easiest tool to focus on a nib, but it does help you look closely at nib tines. I use mine when I cut custom italic grinds on my nibs. The light is a nice feature in theory, though it often doesn’t hit the nib when the nib is in focus. It’s also not clear how to replace the battery, when it inevitably dies.

This loupe arrived not working. Interior of battery compartment corroded. Light did not work even after cleaning up and replacing battery.
