I filled my Plaisir with Noodler's Polar Black. This is a pretty smooth combination. It feathers a little, but I knew it would do that going in.
If you need faultless lines on indifferent paper, Polar Black is probably not the ink you want. If you want a virtually effortless glide of the nib across paper, give consideration to the Plaisir.

I have several Platinum pens and love them all - and this one certainly did not disappoint either. Beautiful red metallic barrel. This pen has a much lighter feel to it than my other platinum pens, but definitely still a quality pen and great for the price. As all of my Platinum pens, this one always writes smoothly the first time, every time, even after not using for a week. Beautiful color pairing with Pilot Iroshizuku Momiji ink! Makes me happy!!

This is a solid, durable travel pen that does not mind getting knocked around. I had bought this in a Fine nib, not realizing this was a Japanese nib, producing a narrower line. Platinum makes great interchangeable nibs, so I put a Medium Preppy nib on the Plaisir, and it works fine. The orange color is very distinctive.

This is my new favorite replacement for the Pilot Metropolitan. The grip is much more comfortable than the Metro and the transparent grip gives one a good view of the ink you're using. The nibs are easily swapped with the Platinum Preppy, so it's possible to expand one's nib options.
