Platinum Curidas Fountain Pens Reviews
Pros: 1. Looks cool, not too industrial, not too classical. 2. Glides effortlessly once the nib softens up after repeated use. 3. Large and bold with a quirky, intricate mechanism for accessing the converter.
Cons: 1. Too long to clip it in pocket. 2. It took a while to soften the nib and to get the ink flowing smoothly.
Overall, it is surprisingly light with a broad grip. If you like the Pilot Vanishing point, you'll like this one, but the writing experience is completely different due to the broad grip and extreme lack of heft.

This pen is incredibly uncomfortable, awkward, bulky, and annoying. Part of the problem may be that I have small arthritic hands, but I have never had this much pain from using a pen before.
This pen doesn't write smoothly either. This really surprised me because you can usually count on Platinum to have incredibly smooth pens.
I also found the innards of the pen to be too much trouble.
I love pens. I love Platinum, but I have never hated a pen more. I'm angry for making a fairly expensive mistake.

These are excellent pens that provide a unique but functional appeal. Filling the pen and changing inks is not as easy as I would like, but it is such a small inconvenience. I recommend watching the video on the Pen Chalet site to save yourself some time. I didn't remove the clip at first, but it is more comfortable without it. Nonetheless, it is one of my favorite everyday pens.

Lots of cool engineering on display with this model. Perfect for high tech pen nerds. Fine nib smooth with a little feedback and good flow with Waterman Mysterious Blue. Fits my hand fine. Possible EDC pen.

Writes really well. I am happy with the Fine nib. Not for the nervous clicky types, if you click it too fast I have seen small ink droplets hit the paper. If treated as a fountain pen then its really great.

Amazing pen.EF nib is very fine yet smooth. The retractable feature is very handy when sketching on location. The grip section is thicker than most pens, so I was worried when I ordered, but it does not bother me at all. An all around winner from Platinum for sure!!

I absolutely love this pen! I've had it now for almost two weeks and I've had no problems with it. It writes right away and no splatter or cracks anywhere. The nub at the bottom does not bother me because I hold my pen a little bit higher on the barrel. I have the Urban Green color and it's beautiful. I would say the color is a darkish teal color and not green per se.i want to buy the red color sometime this year. My only pause is that I wish it was at the first price point still.

Have the pen for almost two weeks and the engineering aspect of the pen has not ceased to amaze me. The removable clip is also very well design and easily removed with the in box tool. The steel nib is also about as good as it gets, has a small amount of feed back while not being overly scratchy.

The Curidas is - dare I say - a curious fountain pen. I inked it almost immediately and began using and “carrying” it (while working from home) currently using it with Diamine “Sargasso Sea” it writes every time without flaw or fail on even the junkiest (copier) paper?

Platinum pens have become a favorite in my collection. So when they introduced the Curidas, I knew I had to have one! Awesome pen. I can always count on Platinum pens to write after weeks and months of non use.
