One of the best pens I've ever owned (over 10 years now) so I decided to buy a second one in fine. First was medium. Very smooth writing. Not too heavy or too long for my smaller hands. Love the different colors too

I have most of the pens in the Metro line, including those sold under the 'cocoon' name in Japan. I'd say they are ideal beginner fountain pens, but they are perfectly respectable intermediate pens as well. They are sturdy, easy to clean, perform very consistently, and if you have a smaller hand like I do, the slimmer profile is a big plus. Overall a great pen with unbeatable value; this is my go to for everyday and for travel.
